Nice and funny owner!

Tofu is the most expensive item on their menu as they bring it from erbil

Three-table Chinese heaven...

...although that could read 'haven', as this tiny, family-run restaurant is like a warm niche in the fabric of this bustling town. The gregarious owner will tell you all about her experience of living in Kurdistan - and it is fascinating - while your food is cooked with startling rapidity by her partner. I had the spicy tofu. Everything was home-made - including the tofu - and you could tell. The tofu was firm and delectable; the sauce had just the right amount of umami and a heat bordering on the urgent. Given the quality of the food, it would be childish to complain at the 15,000 Dinar cost, which included rice. Lots of other tempting options on the menu and walls - imagine that! Options! In KRI! - but I couldn't help having the spicy tofu again the day I went back.

Pros: Friendly and homely - and small, Central location, Spicy tofu!
