Great Vegan Cafe - Edit
As previously described, the cafe is tucked away in a corner of the Fremantle Markets, next to a Tarot Card reader’s booth. Not easy to find, but definitely worth the effort.
Read moreThe staff were very friendly and helpful, options clearly written up on a chalkboard. I had the chickpea wrap, which was huge! It was lightly toasted to perfection and was delicious. The wrap was accompanied by a cafetière for one of very smooth black coffee. Very pleased with the wrap I was motivated to try one of the choice of four desserts, the pumpkin tart, with a scoop of vegan ice cream ($2.50 extra). A lovely meal, I’m glad we persevered in tracking them down. I’ll be back before I head back across the equator 😜
The only thing letting them down is the lack of seating space, with two tables next to the entrance and one outside the shop. There are stools parallel to the counter beneath the chalkboard. Hopefully they’ll be able to expand into a larger café/restaurant one day. 😜
Pros: Friendly Service, Great food , Reasonably priced
Cons: Hard to find in the Market, Not much seating space

Thank you very much. Would be great to expand some times.

Don't be put off by the size of this place, squeeze in and grab some amazing food. We nearly dismissed it bit ended up ordering pretty much everything on the menu so we could try everything.

Took my omni Portuguese friend there for lunch and he actually really enjoyed the food. We had the lasagne with smoothies. Not too expensive and good portion sizes. Overall very happy and will be back again.

Great food and service - Edit
It’s a tiny little restaurant mostly open when the market is, connected with a door to the market hall and accessible from the street as well.

Tiny slice of paradise - Edit
This eatery is small, but packed with flavour and love! The food is rich and the woman who owns and works there is warm and inviting. Her food is full of flavour and love. I had the quiche with side salad. The carrot cake and pumpkin brownie also looked amaaazing and I’ll have to try it next time with coffees and teas. I also tried the chickpea curry with its warm and deep flavouring. A must go to sadly it’s only a weekend treat.
Read moreThere’s minimal seating, but you can ask for chair to sit right outside or go find a little spot to sit somewhere in the markets. On the menu board there is also vegan reading bits, cooking classes available, and info on how to sign up animal rights petitions.
All around a little slice of paradise here in Freoz.
Pros: Vegan at its finest. , Amazing owner!!
Cons: Minimal seating

Tasty food here - Edit
I thought the food was very good. I got the vegan quiche for AU$9.50 and the side salad ($5). Very fresh ingredients & great flavors. It's not inexpensive to me as others have said... I guess it's in line with what other places charge for the most part. Smoothies are AU$8.50. I would definitely come here again in this area.

Absolutely delicious vegan lunch! - Edit
My wife and I were touring the Friday market, trying to find something to eat, and we were so pleased to find Chic Pea Vegan Cafe. I had a vegan pasty that was outrageously delicious, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her vegan lasagna. The portions were generous, and the service was excellent. If we lived in Fremantle, we would certainly eat at Chic Pea often. Highly recommended!

Pea-sized veggie powerhouse - Edit
Went here on a Saturday for lunch and ordered the veggie curry pastie with a side of crunchy slaw. It was by far the best veggie pastie I've ever had, not even exaggerating. The pastry was beautiful and flaky! Also a decent size too for the price. I had trouble finishing it.
Read moreI am so keen on trying the rest of the menu and will be eager to visit again the next time I'm in Freo.
Heads up though, the cafe itself is tiny and when it gets busy (like on Saturday midmornings!), it can get quite squishy. Best to order your food to go and enjoy the vibe of Freo.
Pros: Cheerful, helpful staff
Cons: Super tiny space!

Hidden gem - Edit
Chic Pea was a little hard to find but well worth the effort! The owner was friendly, the atmosphere homely and the food delicious! I had the vegan lasagne and my sister opted for the curry spiced puff. We both loved the side salad served with our meals and the smoothies. We’ll definitely be back for more :)
