I'm glad they had the vegan options but it felt like an afterthought as I couldn't identify any of the flavours that were mentioned in each empanada. It was sort of like a mushy mix and my omni friends really enjoyed theirs so I was disappointed.

Sooooo glad I came here. Honestly the best meal I’ve had in Montpellier and up there with all of France. Absolutely delicious! The pastry is just perfect, crispy and the filling is so yum. I couldn’t communicate with the guy working here because I can’t speak French, but despite that he was still very lovely!

These are among the best empanadas I have had. Great option near Place de la Comédie. They’re a little pricy at €3,50 each, but the flavors are 💯. Three vegan empanada options on the menu, plus an extra as a special when we went. The dessert empanada was solid.

Tasty vegan empanadas in a pleasant Argentinian restaurant - Edit
This Argentinian restaurant specialized in empanadas offers 3 vegan choices for main dish and 1 vegan empanadas for dessert. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu. I tried the 4 types of vegan empanadas and really liked them. They were tasty, original and generous. It's quite rare to find vegan food in an Argentinian restaurant, and it's a shame because this kind of food is excellent. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is pleasant and centrally located, and the prices are reasonable. I warmly recommend a stop here I you need to eat around the Comédie square.

Quick, tasty food, plenty of options - Edit
Light empanadas, 4 savoury choices and one sweet. We tried all the savoury, all delicious but the Sweetcorn one with a bechamel sauce was the winner. The waiter Matthias from Argentina was a fellow vegan and really friendly, he couldn’t have been more welcoming.

Great Argentinian atmosphere and super cozy, festive place. Offers a lot of vegetarian and vegan options which are marked clearly on the menu. The vegetarian options are super great. I've only tired one of the vegan and it was ok. Already been here twice and will definitely keep coming. Friendly staff and great menu.

It was so great! There are 3 vegan mains, one vegan desert (a delicious apple and cinnamon empanada) and one vegan starter (the salad, sadly). You have to get 2 of each of the vegan mains because they’re very small, so it does become expensive. However it’s very worth it to be able to eat with the whole omnivore family and for everyone to be happy. Some of the locals were very loud and had very emotive arguments on the street, but it was quite good entertainment so can’t really complain!

We really loved our visit at Che Boludo! All vegan empanadas were seriously delicious (and so was the sangria!). My vegetarian friend enjoyed some veggie empanadas but also loved the vegan ones. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and took the time to explain the menu. Very fair prices. Definitely recommended! x

Right in the heart of place de comédie, I was very pleasantly surprised by how delicious the vegan options were! They now have 3 savory vegan empanadas (served with two vegan sauces/salsas) and the apple one for dessert. They are clearly marked and there are also 4 vegetarian ones. I highly recommend the artichoke and the aubergine ones and you must have the dessert, but definitely try them all. The staff is super friendly and they play great latin music. Would give it 5 stars if I could. Check it out if you’re in Montpellier!

Delicious and Vegan Friendly - Edit
Three delicious vegan empanada options, two savory (artichoke and spinach) and one sweet (apple). Also vegetarian options with cheese. The vegan ones are made with a special dough with no dairy or eggs. Very good and the staff know about veganism.
