Vegan option not really vegan yet - Edit

I ordered the vegan burger and fries, and had asked if the fries were fried with other products, and they said sometimes they’re fried in the same oil that the fish are fried in. So this is not vegan in my opinion, and should not be included with a vegan burger as menu option, as it gives the impression that the entire meal is vegan.

The vegan burger tasted and felt exactly like a beef burger. This is neither a good or bad thing, but if you don’t like meaty texture replicas then it’s not for you. They did have a vegan Irish breakfast style item on the menu which I was exited to try, but it was past the breakfast time window.

But they’re trying, and have looked out for us vegans by having Vegan options on the main menu! I would like more vegans to go here and maybe enquire as I did about how items are cooked to help them change their vegan options to 100% vegan.

Pros: Vegan options, Accommodating lovely staff, Do takeaway and dine in.

Cons: Vegan option might not be vegan enough for some., A little pricy

Beyond Burger and fab choice of cakes - Edit

Wasn't expecting to find many vegan options in Cavan apart from in Ground Espresso so was delighted to hear Chapter 1 had a few options. On the vegan menu was the Beyond Burger and a pulled oat curry. Both sounded great but I went for the Beyond Burger. It would have been fab but the burger patty was a bit overcooked. The mustard mayo and relish were great!
They had about 5 or 6 vegan dessert options. I went for the Harvest Cake which was like a carrot cake and really tasty.
Would be great if they did other milk alternatives with coffee as they only offer soya but all in all, a great effort and fab to have somewhere to eat in Cavan!
