Beautiful little organic restaurant with a peaceful atmosphere. Plate lunches for around 1000 yen. Try the katsu lunch set which comes with salad, miso soup, pickles, brown rice, potatoes, and vegetable stew over bulgur wheat. Has a small shop selling a few items, and the restaurant is located next to an organic grocery store. Reported closed, Oct 2019.

I am sitting in Chant now and I can't tell you how much I love this place... The food is out of this world and the lady who works here is so lovely. I had a vegan set - treated myself to the more expensive one

Excellent vegan food - Edit
Very nice little restaurant that serves vegan as well as non vegan dishes. The lady who served it was very friendly and helped us to make good choices. I had a vegan set menu and my husband had a fish set menu. It is a 20 minutes walk along the river away from the beach and close to Minami-Ito station.

Lovely Vegan Lunch! - Edit
Had a lovely vegan lunch of curry rice, vegan chicken patty, salad and pickles, and then a great banana cake for dessert (not vegan). The staff are super nice and speak a little English

Cute little cafe, great seating area and decor. Very relaxed and comfortable. Lunch sets around 1000 yen, vegetarian options available - coffee, small snacks available also. Great place for lunch or to relax, read, write and have a coffee. Little bit of english - defiantly a must go! Easy access by following the river from the centre of Ito!

Chant - excellent lunch menu - Edit
I visited Chant during the lunch time. The meal cost 1200 yens including a delicious soy "meat", rice, salad and miso soup. There were also other lunch options starting from 750 yens. The atmosphere is cosy and stuff is friendly. The best food I got during the stay in Japan.
