Really nice activity - Edit
For a long time I wanted to see cacao growing.
Read moreIt was awesome! I did a tour for 150k and got to walk through the farm, choosing my own cacao fruit and opening it myself. The taste was very interesting, after that the process of making chocolade was explained. Including tasting the cacao after the roast. We were not allowed to see everything in the factory due to hygiene rules, but we saw some of the processes through the glass.
At that we tried different chocolates they made and there is a small shop.
Yes it can be a bit far away from Canggu, Ubud or Uluwatu but I definitely recommend this to everyone who is curious about cacao!

Loads of vegan chocolate - Edit
We arrived a little too late for the factory tour but an employee showed us around the farm and explained what each machine does and the whole process of making chocolate. We were able to try samples of all flavours - all chocolate above 60% cacao is naturally vegan so more than three quarters of the chocolate is dairy-free. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. There's even a vegan box selection.
