Cardamomo è il miglior ristorante vegano in cui sia stato! I piatti sono eccezionali, creativi e sempre gustosi... I prezzi sono onesti ed il personale è davvero gentilissimo e disponibile. Non posso che consigliarlo a tutti, non ne rimarrete sicuramente delusi.

Wonderful, inventive dishes, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. I tried the samosas, light but yummy, and some wonderful pumpkin gnocchi with fava bean cream and chicory. As a dessert, a huge raw Sachertorte, which was perfectly balanced. Highly recommended.

I wanted to see Lake Maggiore (and have a break from the endless “choose from a cabinet and reheat” Milan vegan places). We arrived just after 1pm. There were about 5 savoury items and 4 desserts. I chose a taste of the soup which had an incredible flavour and a delicious burger. I really liked the patty and the onions. I also had a chocolate mousse cake and a cappuccino. They were both good too. The service was nice and helpful and I loved the decor of the restaurant. Highly recommend. There were a number of tables but it was busy when we got there.

Sono venuta con persone non vegane che hanno apprezzato sia l'ambiente che il cibo. A pranzo è possibile ordinare un piatto combinato o à la carte. Scelta dei piatti non vastissima. Un posto imperdibile per qualsiasi vegano in zona e per chi non lo è può essere sicuramente una buona occasione per scoprire una cucina diversa.
Cozy restaurant located in the city center of Arona. It's a pleasure to enjoy the little details in the decor and the service. I ate here with non-vegan people and everyone appreciated the atmosphere and the food. At lunch you can order a mixed platter or à la carte. The variety is a bit limited. This is a must-go place for every vegan in the area and a great occasion for non-vegan people to discover a different cuisine. Recommended.

Disappointing vegan meal - Edit
I was excited to find a fully vegan restaurant in northern italy but cardamono was a disappointment. The food was average at best - we ordered the only two dishes on the limited menu and neither was worth bragging about. The pesto pasta dish was bland and undercooked (not al dente), totally subpar for an Italian restaurant in Italy. The mixed platter was served with some cooked zucchini, squash, rice, lentil dal, and a sort of potato quiche. Although better than the pasta, it was average at best and demonstrated zero skill at exploiting the flavors of the vegetables used. In contrary to the experiences of previous reviewers, my server spoke little English and was not able to explain the all Italian menu (to her benefit, she was very nice and tried to the best of her ability). It is great to see a fully vegan restaurant in a region with limited vegan food, but my experience at cardamono after reading so many 5 star reviews was a disappointment.
