Great service - Edit
We came before a theater show and they were very facilitating and mindful of the time. We are not the biggest fan of fried food and faux meat and that is the bulk of the menu. But they have other options, we had mushrooms and zucchini soup as starter. Mushrooms were not very special, the fake salmon in the soup tasted very real. Flavours were ok but not that speciql. As a main we had the September season bowl and falafal salad. The rasberrry kumbucha was very nice.

Excellent tapas and great location - Edit
We ordered the tapas board. You can choose how many courses you want and a selection of items per course arrives. The mains included some excellent falafel, bitterballen which apparently taste exactly like the meaty originals, and some very tasty mushrooms. The dessert board was equally good, including vegan soft serve ice cream, very rich chocolate brownies and an excellent blueberry and lemon cake. Overall a lot of great food!

Wir saßen draußen an alten Tischen und auf gebrauchten Stühlen - nichts mit Vintagestil, nö wirklich alt. Großes Lob dafür.
Read moreDie Bedienung war super freundlich und hat sich bemüht mein gebrochenes Niederländisch zu verstehen.
Das Essen war einfach super gut, nicht zu viel, nicht zu wenig und ein Nachtisch passte auch noch rein.
(Hier wird Redefine-Meat angeboten, wer es gerne mal ausprobieren möchte!)

Einziges Manko: die Wickelsituation mit Baby war etwas unangenehm. Wickelunterlage konnte zwischen die Waschbecken gelegt werden (alles nass und etwas dreckig) und es gab keine richtige Ablage für die Wickelsachen…

Lovely food. Friendly service. But a long wait (20 minutes between giving the menu and taking the order, ...) with less than a handful of tables.
Outside is no longer on a elevated terrace.

Nice to have so many menu options, it was difficult to choose!
We had the sticky mushrooms (6,50€) a broodje kroket (7,50€) the kebab wrap (11,50€) and two portions of fries 2x4€ (which was way too much ;-).
Together with two non-alcohol drinks (tonic and mocktail mojito) that was 42,5 €. Which seems fair.
The food was great, although the 'kroket' didn't have a distinct taste. Nice wraps and loved the mushrooms!
The restaurant is on a quiet square, we had a relaxed lunch. Friendly service.
Outside terrace is with steps, indoor restaurant a small step to get in. Did not notice an accessible toilet.

I accidentally went to this place on a Monday, wich is their “Zero Waste” day. A very cool idea, you can not order àla carte but have the choice how many courses you want and get a surprise menu. All the dishes were very good made and delicious.

I had the Friet Stoof (Flemish Stew) and my partner had the Kapsalon (essentially a doner kebab with chips instead of pitta), and we shared the Mac and Cheese Bitterballen. Lovely to be able to try veganised versions of traditional European dishes. Fantastic selection of beers, lovely staff, awesome quirky decor.

Wij raken niet uitgepraat over de steak die we hier gegeten hebben. Helaas was de steak er enkel in januari, maar hopelijk komt hij terug want dit was bijna eng, zo echt smaakte het! Het restaurant zelf was ook erg gezellig, tevens met vriendelijk personeel en ook de overige gerechten waren erg lekker. Als voorgerecht hadden wij onder andere de kaas ballen, dit was absoluut een aanrader. Als dessert hadden wij de deelplank, dit was ook erg leuk.

especially since it's been rainy. Today was our
second visit and I'm sure we'll be back again
before we leave. Menu has a good variety for the mood you're in. My husband is just as pleased as I am. He has had the pizza kebab and a falafel burger both of which he loved. I have had the
poke bowl and noodle bowl, so delicious. I would
highly recommend Calypso. Good vibes abound.

Amazing falafel and pizza - Edit
The food here is amazing! Especially loved the falafel with just the right bite, and the pizza which was just perfectly baked. The desert Affogato (icecream with coffee) was also very good.
