Bakery offering usually 3 types of vegan cake plus scones and cookies. Manager speaks English. There is no name sign outside but usually a chalkboard advertising animal-product-free cakes in Korean and English is outside. The cafe is some steps down in the sou-terrain. Has a collection of books. Previously called Banchagkko. NOTE: Maybe closed February 2023 - please send updates to HappyCow. Open Mon-Fri 12:00pm-10:00pm, Sat 1:00pm-10:00pm.

꼭 가보세요! Best vegan scone in Seoul!! - Edit
Although this is not a 100% vegan cafe, all of the bakery is vegan and all of the drinks are available in soy milk. I had the vegan scone. It was amazing!!! You must visit this place when you visit Seoul. Comfy atmosphere with cute underground entrance. The vegan cream served here is also good. If you don't drink coffee, try the barley coffee!

Very cute and tasty - Edit
The staff are very friendly. I was the only one in the cafe, while I enjoyed my deserts, and it did not feel awkward at all. The carrot cake was good, but the star was the frosting on top, I loved it! I will definitely be back.

Cozy cafe with vegan options - Edit
This place has a name and a small sign outside now! They offer a vegan-friendly menu with soy milk and vegan cream and all dessert bakery items are plant-based.
Read moreThere are currently vegan carrot cake, lemon cake, apple cake and a walnut scone on the menu.
The bakery items tasted ok. Home-made, not extravagant, cake was a bit dry. But prices are quite low.
I liked the atmosphere of the cafe best. It's a small and cosy place in the half-basement. Seems like a quiet hideout in the student area of Kyung Hee University.

Wonderful little hole in the wall cafe! - Edit
The cakes were AMAZING! It was moist and perfect. These pastries make other more popular vegan cafe look amateur.

The owner is really nice and make the vegan whip cream for all of the desserts and beverages.
We had the lemon cake and carrot cake! I recommend both! The hot chocolate was also awesome.

Vegan surprise in Hoegi-Dong - Edit
I stumbled over this place by coincidence, just seeing the little blackboard outside stating 'cakes - no dairy, no eggs' (inside they state more explicitely that they are vegan). They have a small selection of vegan cakes (apple or carrot; 4k won), scones and muffins (~2.5k won if I remember correctly), coffee and tea. The place is very cozy and nice to hang out (free wifi!) and the staff speaks ok English.
Read moreI had the apple cake which was super delicious.
They could do more in terms of marketing but they already fare very well in terms of making a vegan, stranded in East Seoul happy :-)
Pros: Delicious vegan cakes, English speaking staff, Good coffee
Cons: A little hard to find
