Not as bad

Yongtokki is a tiny bakery which sells only for take-out. The menu has changed a lot over the past months. You can find the current line-up on Instagram.
When I went, there were salt breads, red bean buns, brioche, scones and lye rolls (stick-shaped pretzel). Ordering sandwiches based on the bread rolls was also possible.

You get the impression that the owner puts a lot of effort into producing everything. Some of her creations look terribly cute.

I arrived around 12pm and bought a couple of bakery items which tasted ok. Brioche should be softer and more greasy, though... I guess if I had come later in the day, they would've been much dryer.

Prices are surprisingly low for Seoul.

The bakery is very small, there are no seats available at all. It is located near Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (외대), so most of the walk-in customers are probably students. #Veganuary

Out of 6 or 7 breads only 1 was edible

Everything looks delicious but honestly everything was so dry and mealy. Cant give one star but i would not spend any money here. I want to support vegan businesses but I cant stand by this kind of food

so very disappointed

i had high expectations for this place after seeing the photos on instagram, but they were not met. the cream in the bread was tasteless and the red bean was not good at all. the rest of the desserts were too sweet (even the cheese and garlic flavors) and the texture was off. perhaps they would have been better fresh. the only thing that was pretty good was the butter and raspberry pretzel. however, it was nothing close to a pretzel at all. i do not think i will be returning, despite the kind and pleasant owner.

Good option in quiet area

This is a welcome addition to an area that needs more vegan options. Baked goods all look so good that I gladly drove here. It is unfortunate they have no seating because what I ate in the car outside just after buying tasted better than what I packed and ate much later. Limited opening days will not suit many.

Pros: can reserve on IG, nice owner

Cons: limited opening days, often sells out
