We ordered the YAKUZEN spice curry rice, Soymeat cutlet, Soymeat KARAAGE teriyaki flavour, Tofu nuggets, Shojin grilled dumpling, Shojin tofu yuba steamed bun, Shojin vegetable curry steamed bun. All of the soy meats were delicious 🤤

Amazing food and service - Edit
We ate so much delicious food!!! The vegan eel and the fish fries are delicious, my favorites. The sets are worth it and give the chance to taste many things. The tofu variations in the dishes is really interesting. We also ate the karaage, the tofu nuggets and a tofu bun. Everything was delicious! Really appreciated to eat some protein and a nutrient rich (and tasty) rice.

Mein Aal Gericht kam dem echten Geschmack von Fisch sehr nahe. Die Portionen sind außerdem groß.
Die Dumplings sind auch sehr gut.
Was ich auch schön finde, ist, dass man im Laden viele vegane Gewürze uvm. kaufen kann.
Das einzige, was wir bemägelt haben, ist der zu milde Geschmack der Ramen. Diese könnten noch etwas mehr Power haben

My husband was starting to go a little crazy from all the healthy food in Japan. "Everything is soup!" Cafe Ren to the rescue - they have lots of delicious dim sum-ish items and fried proteins that hit the comfort food spot, but were still very different from what we could get back home. We were both very happy with lunch here.

I had a vegan eel bowl with a steambun, and the meal was excellent, with the exception of the side soup that was rather on the tasteless side. The place has a cute, home-y vibe to it, and offers free tea and refills.

Found the food incredibly average unfortunately. We had the soy meat cutlet rice bowl, fried rice, and grilled dumplings. They do do a cool medicinal soup though which we also got.

Read moreIt took the staff a long time to take our order even though the place is tiny and wasn‘t busy.
The food is just…okay but not good. Very underseasoned, which was disappointing. I would not go here again.
Also the portion sizes are quite small compared to other restaurants we have visited in the area.
If you‘re hungry this place is ok but if you‘re looking for good food this is the wrong place.

Loved the cozyness and atmosphere of this cute little cafe. You had to take your shoes off to go to the bathroom (there are toilet shoes there). The waitress was great and the food was very variable and tasted awesome! Would definitely recommend!

What a lovely place. Staff were friendly. The menu is translated. The whole restaurant cooks without the 5 pungent spices (garlic, onion etc). We got the ramen, the cutlet bowl and the tofu nuggets. Everything was amazing. I also enjoyed an apple lemon cider. Free tea also available

Wir haben einen Dumplin Hot Pot und eine Rice Bowl gegessen. Der Hot Pot war super und die Rice Bowl mit Soja Granulat geschmacklich auch hervorragend aber etwas klein, daher wurde eine zweite nachbestellt ^^
Read moreBeim reinkommen wurden wir nicht direkt begrüßt und man muss sich einfach einen freien Platz suchen und eine Weile warten, da die Damen am Kochen sind und etwas Zeit brauchen. Dann gab es gratis Tee, mit selbst nachfüllen so viel man möchte und eine etwas schwierige Bestellung, durch eine leichte Sprachbarriere.
Alles in allem waren wir hier sehr zufrieden und satt.

The restaurant offers quite a variety of vegan food. From tofu nuggets to Gyoza to Ramen and healthy soups or set menus. Everything tastes great, the portions are big, the food is very affordable, everything is freshly made so it takes some time to prepare.

Although I appreciate the health aspect they’re aiming for, I do not want to sacrifice taste for health. The seasoning reminded me of those awful teas my doctor of Chinese medicine has me brew up when I’m sick.

We couldn’t wait to finally try vegan versions of such classic dishes and they did not disappoint- the highlight was the unagi (eel, made from tofu), if was such an impressively constructed dish, and both visually and literally delicious.
For sure a highlight of our trip

Very nice and charming little place. Has a menu of a few dishes including one daily changing set, which I had together with some boiled dumplings. Very good and delicious. Staff is very friendly, pricing is very reasonable.
