Unique & Yummy - Edit
My husband ran a 5K at Olana and we stopped here after - the waitress/host was VERY kind! I enjoyed the tallest (and probably best tasting) Avocado Toast I’ve ever had!! It was a very unique set-up and the food was nicely prepared & so fresh!!! I have to say, though, that as a wheelchair-user the creaky floor was unsettling.

We ordered most of the things on the menu rice bowls, salad, vegan breakfast , avocado toast and banana bread and tea and juice. Everything was fresh, very good and healthy .

Good intentions, bad food - Edit
Was passing through town and was happy to find a place with vegan options. Unfortunately the food was a flop. They were out of all rice bowls and their breakfast plate. Banana bread and cinnamon bun were super dry and flavorless. The avocado toast was burnt with rock hard avocado, though it did have pretty good pesto and tahini on it. Drink cooler was almost entirely empty with only two drink options and some dirty vegetable boxes:

Misleading Website & Reviews - Edit
I was excited to check out Cafe Joust after seeing the reviews on here and the menu on the website. Unfortunately their online menu is completely out of date. According to the employee we talked to they no longer serve the vegan "puffs" because the woman who they use to source them from is too busy doing farmers markets and her own sales to make them for the cafe anymore. They also don't offer the falafel plate and two of the toast options anymore. That being said the food we did order (avocado toast) was quite good and the service and atmosphere were pleasant.

Love the food - Edit
This is a great addition to Catskill and is so needed in a vast vegan food desert. The soups are amazing. I really need to learn their secret. And their supplier of cashew cheese makes the most marvelous vegan version of Brazilian cheese puffs. Very much worth a visit.
