Food and ambiance - Edit
A great little spot for lunch with a beautiful shared courtyard! They had a couple of vegan options. A wrap with hummus, avocado, eggplant and zucchini, and a sandwich with hummus, avocado, cucumber and tomato. Both were very tasty, though I felt the wrap was a bit more substantial. They offer a vegan protein shake with dates and peanut butter called the Freaky Vegan that was delicious and quite filling. Bagged chips and fresh juices were available as well.

Sweet Treats - Edit
While walking around Solvang, we wanted a sweet treat and opted for a few items from Cafe Dolce. Everything, from treats to gelato, was clearly labeled vegan. We also got two lemonades, which we loved because they were apparent to be made from real fruit and more tart than sweet. The person who took our order was very kind, and there was plenty of seating in the area.

Fresh veggie sammies? Look no further. - Edit
Stopped in on a fairly busy Saturday and we were very happy with both the Vegan Trap and Mediterranean Vegan sandwiches. They served the Vegan Trap on excellent, toasted Lebanese bread, which was a new offering. Highly recommended as they also have a vegan smoothie (Freaky Vegan) and vegan sorbet (lemon was available today). 10/10 would come back for these sandwiches. Pics are of half of the sandwiches, we already got to them before taking the pictures 😅

Delicious and light - Edit
We had the Vegan Trap and Mediterranean Vegan- this was the first day they were trying on Lebanese bread and wanted our opinions. Liked both of them- the trap with the eggplant was more substantial, the Mediterranean was so light and fresh. 100% would eat here again!

We liked everything we ordered! - Edit
They served vegan baklava which I haven't had since I turned vegan. They were SO good! We had their 2 vegan meal options: vegan trap wrap and Mediterranean vegan sandwich. We also had their vegan gelato (don lampone = raspberry, watermelon, alpacino mango, and we liked them in that order). We also had their shaved ice, hot mocha and cold matcha latte with boba. We liked everything!

BEST VEGAN OPTIONS IN SYV - Edit
I loved that they have several vegan sandwiches, warm or cold, they are customizable. They have several alternative milks, including oat, almond or soy milk. Coffee is phenomenal and lots of flavors to choose from. Has specialty items like vegan chocolate sorbet and lemon basil sorbet. Smoothies that are all able to be altered (take out yogurt/honey) to be made vegan. Several WFPB items in the protein shakes and organic vegan protein powder to choose from. Açaí bowls, pitaya bowls and protein fruit bowls all topped with local produce from farmers market. Fresh pressed juices with organic produce. All green was my favorite! Vegan baklava is to die for. Baklava is usually never vegan so I was so excited to try it and it did not disappoint!!! Owner lives locally and is always present and willing to accommodate things for vegan diet! Hot teas and bobas are also here, can’t get enough of this place 💛

Non vegan place but have a nice little selection of vegan wraps/sandwiches, fruit bowls, and juices. Outdoor tables in a nice square. Order inside. Everything labeled clearly. A good option for lunch in Solvang, a place that’s not super friendly for vegans.

Decent sandwich, knowledgeable staff - Edit
Cafe Dolce has a few vegan options which is a welcome respite in non-veg-friendly Solvang. I asked questions about one of the ingredients on the Mediterranean sandwich and the staff seemed to be familiar with vegan concerns. The sandwich filling was tasty but the bread itself was pretty plain (though definitely pretty)!

Cons: Bread is just okay, Savory options limited
