Some vegan options

The vegan lotus cake was very good.
My friend was a bit disappointed from their drinks (matcha and ice coffee).
Everything was clearly labled what is vegan.

can recommend

cute café with many vegan options. the cookie was my favourite but the others treats are tasty too. i would be happy if they added more savoury vegan options to the menu!

staff is friendly. dogs are welcome🐶✅, there's a playing area for kids. not accessible because of a step at the entrance⛔️♿

A Lovely Café I’ll Always Come Back To

Dear Darling is the second café by the owners of Oh Darling, also located in Marburg. I’ve been a fan since the very beginning and was one of the first customers at their original café, so I was very excited when they opened this second location.
Compared to Oh Darling, Dear Darling is larger and much more centrally located. It has the same rustic, playful charm that made me fall in love with the original café, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where it’s easy to spend a few hours. There are plenty of seating options indoors, a few tables outside along the street, and even a small play area for children, making it a welcoming space for everyone.
The selection is extensive. Their famous raw cakes and freshly pressed juices, which I already loved at Oh Darling, are just as incredible here. They’re vegan, refined sugar-free, beautifully made, and absolutely delicious. Around Christmas, they even offered seasonal flavors like gingerbread and cinnamon star, which were fantastic.
In addition to the cakes, the menu has expanded to include bagels, salads, sandwiches, and other savory dishes. Unlike the original concept, however, not everything is vegan anymore, and cow’s milk is now available as well.
The only slight disappointment during my more recent visits was the matcha. I had always associated both cafés with excellent matcha quality, so I was surprised that it wasn’t quite as good as I remembered. That said, my last visit was quite some time ago, so it’s entirely possible that this has since improved.
Overall, Dear Darling remains a café I genuinely enjoy visiting. The atmosphere, the cakes, and the overall concept make it a place I always look forward to returning to.
