They were moderately busy and have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered our sandwiches to go though because we had plans. If you ask them, they will modify your order so we were able to make a vegetarian sandwich vegan by asking them to remove the cheese.
The food was good, I would return however would love to see a few more vegan options.
I'd heard good things about Cafe Chew and in fact as a vegetarian, thought it was pretty good. I've been away from the area for a long time and visited it for the first time as a vegan today. Sadly, not impressed. There are no vegan sandwich options on the menu. I ordered a modified version of a sandwich that involved hummus (of course). The person taking our order was unfriendly and unhelpful and sort of grunted in apparent incomprehension when I asked if it could be made vegan. So I explained no cheese, no butter... and hoped for the best. The sandwich was OK but honestly, I can make a far better hummus sandwich at home and it would not cost me $15...
I'm from here, and have been vegetarian for decades, and have found better and better options on my visits home over the years. But Cape Cod seems like a really hard place to be vegan - a long, long way to go.
I got the hummus and tabouli salad. It was very filling and the dressing was delicious. It wasn’t the most, “oh my god this is amazing vegan food” good. But options are kind of limited on the Cape. If I was in the area and hungry, I would eat here again.
Went here with non-vegans and I was very pleased with the options. There are several vegan items on the menu (clearly marked). I had a hummus salad, which was quite tasty. The staff was amazingly friendly and the outdoor seating (especially the quieter front patio) are very pleasant. Would definitely go back.
But I had something that already came vegan (hummus & tabouli wrap) and let me tell you it was delicious! I added avocado to the wrap and bought a coconut water! The wrap also came with a side of lays potato chips! Very good prices. The wrap (which was big) and the chips totaled under $8 quick service friendly staff nice atmosphere❤️
I had the hummus and tabouli salad, and it was great! I healthy serving of greens with a vegan lemon shallot dressing. I believe all dressings but one are vegan, and the hummus is made in-house. Great coffee and espresso selection as well.
This is a great cafe, and probably the best food I've had on Cape Cod! Although they don't label things as vegan or veg it's obvious what is available and the staff was able to answer my question on ingredients. Really charming cafe, I highly recommended!

Cons: Waitstaff not friendly or helpful (at least today), Poor vegan selection
