Incredible Oasis of a Café - a MUST visit!! - Edit
WOW! What an amazing café spot to stop off at when driving from Monteverde to the Ferry Port in Puntarenas. A little oasis that will blow your mind!
Read moreFirstly, the ambience of the café as you walk in is peaceful and relaxing, secondly, you are greeted by the lovely owner, Veronica, who is so sweet and welcoming, thirdly, the food available all sounds delicious and makes it hard to decide what to order as you just want to try it all!
We opted for fresh Coconut Water, the Ceviche with Tortilla Chips & the Rock Star Artisanal Burger (with homemade vegan mayo), followed by Almond Cookies and a Muffin.
The food is fresh and super tasty and you can tell that it is cooked with love and the desire to give their customers high quality, fresh, healthy & yummy food.
The heart of the café is rooted in sustainability which is fantastic and a lot of the ingredients of the food that would typically go to waste in other restaurants are reused & repurposed in other dishes on the menu. Many of the ingredients are also sourced from the owners own farm & garden which is great!
If we could eat here every day we would! The service was impeccable and considering the quality of the food it was extremely good value for money.
If you don't visit this café you will regret it! Trust me!!

La comida es exquisita, tienen opciones veganas y vegetarianas, y a esto se le suma la atención de Vero, es de las mejores que he recibido en mi vida en un restaurante, es muy acogedora y preocupada, su trato es muy suave y cercano. Mi pareja estaba mal del estómago y ella le hizo una agua especial de hojas de guayaba y le regaló hojas para que se preparara los días siguientes, realmente amorosa.

"The best restaurant we have done" is such an awesome compliment! We are adding more vegan and gluten free desserts, such as our very popular pecan muffin that we make with our own sun-dried almond flour and our own coconut flour... and our new vegan almond cookies using chia from my organic farm as an egg substitute, so it is full of W3 fatty acids! An authentic cosy place with a rich history - Edit
On our way to Monteverde we stopped at this little restaurant. All products come from own farm/cultivation and the service was so friendly and warm. We loved it. It's part of a sustainability project so extra reason to give them a visit! #Veganuary

95% of what we serve is made right in our kitchen, but not all of our ingredients come from our farm... But we do try to get those ingredients sourced regionally or locally, if we can. We do our very best. We will be celebrating 10 years this year, as the Sustainability Center, and we are very happy to be here now with the Cafe-OM restaurant as part of the initiative to create the world we want to live in.

Every now and then you think you are going to a restaurant for a meal but you end up with so much more😄Veronica’s restaurant is just that and more! We wanted to stop by for a quick lunch on our way out of monteverde but ended up spending a couple of hours in the warm and homely space she has created. Her food is not just delicious but made from the heart with love and care. Everything is organic and homemade! Even the almond and coconut milk for the coffee - which was downright amazing. Veronica herself is such an inspiration, living her dream with utmost authenticity. So glad to have met her. Must stop by on route 606. And do buy the chocolate she is selling. So tasty!!

Wir haben das Café zufällig entdeckt. Es ist sehr schön gestaltet und hat eine Menge Auswahl. Wir hatten einen leckeren Mokka Kaffee, einen veganen-glutenfreien Schokobrownie und super leckere vegane Ceviche. Die Besitzerin war super freundlich und bereitet alles frisch zu. Wenn ihr dort vorbei kommen, solltet ihr unbedingt anhalten und reinspringen..es lohnt sich 🙂
