Decent vegan sushi - Edit
The overall predation of the sushi is good. I enjoyed the food but not high end sushi. They have delicious mocktails and the overall venue is nice. It also has bar food, I.e, nachos and pizza. I did not try them. Good for a quick, filling meal.

Their food and service use to be EXCELLENT. Now, it's young kids working there. No idea was on the menu. How to speak to you.
Read moreHad lunch there Sunday. I was very disappointed. The customer service was terrible
it was hair in my food, and the server handled me a straw with his bare hand underwrapped. The new and better flatware. They transport food from one restaurant to the other, outside under covered.

Love the food - Edit
Hole in the wall little restaurant/bar. Food menu looks great with plenty of options. Everything plant based. And vegan sushi- I can’t wait to come back and try them all. I craved the nachos and I loved it. Tasted authentic Mexican.

SUSHI!!! - Edit
A rare treat - sushi at an all vegan restaurant! A nice variety of sushi and mocktails. They had a few games on the TVs for sports fans. The prices are reasonable.

Delicious! - Edit
We came in on a Sunday night. Happy Cow stated they closed at 8 but they close at 7 on Sundays (per the employee) but they allowed us to still order after closing. The staff was amazing! Very nice people.
Read moreWe ordered sushi (Mango, Dynamite & Tiger) ALL were very good! Mango was our favorite. Great place to take non-vegans. Good value for price. #Veganuary

Underwhelming - Edit
I live down the street, so I’ve been meaning to make it down here for a while and just made it in.
Read moreThe venue, just like the sister restaurant Nana’s Kitchen, has a bit of an odd smell to it. Like mildew.
I ordered 3 tacos with rice and beans. The chick’n was *very* salty. The texture was also slightly off. Couldn’t tell what they were made out of: possibly oyster mushrooms. The carne asada and soyrizo tacos were pretty good, but nothing spectacular.
The tacos came with a side of onions and cilantro, but besides that, all that was on the taco was the meat (with a soft corn tortilla beneath). This seems like the opportunity to shine with more veggies?? I know it’s hard to stuff street tacos, maybe consider offering hard shell tacos too?
The rice was very bland. The beans, I had much more broth than actual beans. The broth was good though!
For the rice, you’d think they’d doctor it up more!! It’s a vegan restaurant: consider adding onion, tomato, garlic, cilantro (maybe corn or peas) to the rice. Refried beans would’ve been nice because they’re hard to find, because canned at the store mostly includes lard.
I’ll probably come back in a few weeks to check out the birria tacos or the wet burrito, or to check out their sushi, but for now, I was pretty underwhelmed. Curious to see how tacos veganos compares: maybe I’m being unfair (but I also think that Earth Plant Based Cafe already does better tacos).
Also seems like a weird business model—I don’t know of any vegans who are avid sports fans. If they are, they probably wanna go eat bar food at a place like Pedal Haus, which has vegan options (like soft pretzels and burgers and pizza). And they also probably want to drink alcohol. Consider checking out “The Volstead by Unity” in Philadelphia, a vegan nonalcoholic bar that seems to satisfy its niche better.
I am rooting for this place though!! Hope it continues to improve, I know they just opened.
Pros: Vegan!!
Cons: A bit smelly, Salty chick’n
