Had the mushroom burrito, it was absolutely delicious and extremely filling. The fries are also very good and they come with a vegan salsa mayo which was a great addition

Best burrito in NZ - Edit
I got the jackfruit burrito (level 4 spice) and added jalapeños. It was the perfect heat! Their spice scale is nothing to mess with. My partner got level 7 the first time he ate here and it was too hot and he’s a hot sauce fanatic. Burritos were so good and really hot the spot.

Amazing - Edit
Read moreThat was funking awesome. Best burritos we have ever had. My partner was starving and is a adrenaline junky spice fiend.. he had double filling and level 9 spice and was suitably contented with the delicious flavours and taste, fullness and the face melting. I had a level 5 which had a decent kick to it and both the veggie burritos we had were utterly divine. We will be coming back whenever we pass through Wanaka !

Nice to have spice - Edit
Had the smoked jackfruit burrito, and the smokiness was nice. Loved that they actually have a good range of heat in the spice so you can pick what suits you.

lots of vegan options! - Edit
I had a vegan burrito with smoky jackfruit. I added red cabbage and coriander instead of beans. they didn’t charge extra and the burrito came with cashew sour cream! I had better burritos but it was pretty yummy.

I would eat here everyday if I could! - Edit
Best burritos I have ever had!!! Jackfruit is DELICIOUS, and there is another vegan option of mushrooms and roast potato. Have a ‘spice-o-meter’ to decide how spicy you want it. I got 3 which was perfect. A cute wee caravan and the staff were super friendly. Filling and fresh. A must go to if you are in wanaka!!

Had the mushroom vegan burrito. We split a large one and it was delicious. We went with spice level 7, which was perfect. A great option in town.

Jackfruit burrito - Edit
We had jackfruit burritos which were ok. They were generous with the jackfruit and it has rice, light coloured beans, and a bit of salad. We had it mild but you can have spice. The large ones are quite large.

Best Jackfruit I’ve had. - Edit
The burrito was amazing! They had 2 options that could be made vegan, please note that you do have to ask for a “Vegan” burrito, because the default includes cheese and sour cream. Would definitely come back again, probably one of the best burritos I’ve had, (including before I was vegan).

Cons: No default Vegan options, you have to request., Serves a lot of meat.

Love it! - Edit
Burrito craft is one of my favourite places, especially the breakfast burrito. The spice scale is misleading, if you like it hot but not too much go for mild-medium the first time.

An OK burrito... - Edit
The service was efficient and friendly enough. They sub out the animal based options for things like potato and spinach (?!?) where more beans and peppers would have been a better choice but it was tasty enough and big enough for the price. No vegan cheese or sour cream is offered at this cart.
Read moreIt was OK but I've had much better vegan burritos than what they serve here.
Pros: Good portion & good price., Tasty hot sauce.
Cons: Vegan fillings need some more thought.

I miss those burrito! - Edit
We went there several times when we lived in Wanaka, it was always really good. The burrito is huge (sometimes the small is enough) and delicious! Be carefull if you don't really like spicy food, just ask for a non-spicy burrito, otherwise the burrito can be really spicy (but it's better right?).

Not Really Vegan - Edit
I left this on google too but thought it was relevant here also.
Read moreWhile in Wanaka my husband and I wanted to try out this food truck as the reviews were terrific & their menu has vegan options. Despite having vegan options, the chef uses the same utensils/hands to get cheese and other ingredients (i.e. cross contamination). I told the chef that I was very allergic to dairy and because of the cross contamination I couldn't eat there. As we walked away I heard the chef say to other staff "no one is that allergic to dairy". Poor customer service.
BurritoCraft
Staff offered to wash there hands, use fresh non-touched ingredients, but re-itereated that he did not want to promise no traces of dairy in the kitchen. I feel this was the correct approach based on your severe allergy. And in no way was the customer service poor. However the staff member in question should have kept his opinion to himself about the allergy.

tasty filling burrito for reasonable price - Edit
Get the regular - it is definitely more than enough for a filling meal. Make sure to ask for extra guac and they will provide for free. Delicious bean and vege filling and nice soft tortilla. Quite a long wait for a food truck (10-15min) but worth it. Great value for wanaka!

Good food, but the execution needs work - Edit
Had a good vegan burrito here today. While the food was tasty and the staff were friendly, there were definitely some issues: Took them forever to get the food out (I waited close to half an hour for a burrito while people who ordered after me were getting their food first), and they made my burrito pretty spicy considering I specifically specified that I wanted it mild. I also witnessed some iffy stuff, like the person handling money then using unwashed hands to touch the tortillas. Overall, I enjoyed the burrito, but they need to figure some stuff out...

BurritoCraft
Hi there,
Read moreGlad you enjoyed the burrito, albeit a little spicy. We have a scale on the trailer which you can choose the level of heat. Perhaps next time going mild with zero added spice would be the best route!
I have spoken to the team and I have made sure that after touching any money there hands are washed/sanitised! Thank you for letting us know about this.
With regards to the wait I am not sure why others who ordered after you got it first, it may be the case of a phone order or something, but we have limited space and we can have high wait times at certain times of the day.. even though its a burrito we need to create, roll and toast each one. We will have a bigger space soon to speed things up.
Thanks for your review and feedback

We tried the vegeterian burrito (large one - $15) --> it was so delicious, that we let us as much as possible time, so we could enjoy the food for a long time xD the smaller one was $10 but you have to take the large one - it's worth it, believe me!! :D
