Deserving of 5 cows for the great food - Edit

It's rare that I give out a rating of 5 cows on any restaurant, but this one in my humble opinion, deserves it. It is a little bit on the expensive side but it's hard to find a good cheap vegetarian restaurant in Buenos Aires.

I went in January 2017. That day they had 6 choices for the meal of the day. There are three different options for the meal of the day. Option 1 is 175 pesos, approximately US $11. That includes one of the meals of the day plus a drink. The next option is 195 pesos or about US $12 which includes the plate plus a drink plus dessert or tea/coffee. The third option is 220 pesos or about US$ 13.75. This includes the plate plus a smoothie or glass of wine dessert tea/coffee. I decided to just go ahead and get the most expensive option so I could try a little bit of everything. I ended up getting the "Ensalada Raw" which was absolutely delicious, if not on the sweet side. For my drink I got the red fruit smoothie made with almond milk. The desert I chose was a slice of apple cake with vanilla ice cream. And then I got coffee. The meal I got was definitely not suitable for diabetics as the salad was sweet, the smoothie was sweet, and the dessert was sweet.

I usually don't spend this much on lunch or even dinner for that matter but this place I guess was kind of a splurge for me. It's probably worth it and I'm sure you'll like the food. There were several foreigners there as I believe this place is listed in one of the tourist books. Also you can get just the plate of food either to go or delivery for only 145 pesos, that's about US $9. They post their daily menu choices on their Facebook page.

Pros: lots of vegan options, location , delicious food

Cons: Expensive (to me, anyway)

great place! - Edit

We've been to the Calle Vidal restaurant and it was amazing.
Nice decoration. Plenty of vegan and gluten free options, already specified on the menu so you don't need to ask the staff.

Pros: good quality , big portions , nice staff

Cons: only one vegan dessert

So SOOO good! - Edit

If you are in Buenos Aires, go here. I'm beyond excited. I went with my vegan boyfriend and omnivore mum and all of us were enjoying our food to the max. Big portions, which is great as with that food you don't want to stop eating. Get that pizza, by the way.... I normally do not like pizzas, but I was binging on that piece straight out of heaven. I was too full to eat deserts, but my boyfriend is having loud dreams about it every now and then still. Good prices (not dirt cheap, but for a restaurant with this quality really good).

It's not all vegan, it's vegetarian... but there are many vegan options.

BudgetBucketList 29 Dec 2016 - Because it was so good, I now also visited their restaurant in Belgrano. Again, certainly not disappointed. What a treat! Certainly go for the raw vegan nachos with guacamole, vegan choripan and once again the pizza. Really really delicious!

Great place to eat - Edit

They have breakfast and lunch menu with a lot of vegan options.
The staff was ok, but the food is remarkable, with lot of flavour and the portion was gigantic, for sure they know what they are doing. I didn't came back to eat again because my time in buenos aires was short and i needed to discover another restaurants, but if i lived in Buenos Aires, probably i would eat here every week.

Pros: FOOD IS AMAZING, PRICE TOTALLY WORTH, A LOT OF VEGAN OPTIONS

Cons: the place was a little tumultuous

Best Food Yet in Buenos Aires - Edit

I ordered a red quinoa and veggie sandwich with a rice pilaf and a green drink at this Palermo vegetarian restaurant. I have not been having much luck finding delicious Vegan food in Buenos Aires, but the food here is very tasty and full of flavor.

I like that they also serve raw dishes and breakfast.

A solid restaurant for any meal.

Pros: flavorful vegan food, great wifi

Great vegan options - Edit

Lots of clearly marked vegan options. Serving sizes are very big. I'm not usually big on raw stuff but I had an amazing raw pizza here with delicious cashew cheese. Also had a very tasty juice.

Huge tasty salad - Edit

A pleasant restaurant with a very friendly staff. I had a HUGE salad that was really tasty, the promised smoked cashew cheese having been really a great surprise, as were the raw crackers (I'm not really into raw but they were just good).

An advice: order your salad with dressing apart - mine came with a bit too much of it and above all tasted like it had soaked for a while!

Great salads! - Edit

This is one of my favorite vegetarian restaurants in Palermo. The menu includes vegan and raw dishes. Creative, delicious, filling salads.
Friendly service and reasonable prices. Good selection of desserts.
Highly recommended.
If you plan to arrive after 20:00, call and make a reservation.

Pros: Salads, Opening times, Creative menu

Bueno - Edit

Pros: Tiene muchas opciones veganas, Muy buena variedad de platillos sabrosos, También venden productos y viandas

Cons: Algunos platos son un poco caros

Loved it! - Edit

Wow, this place is awesome! The food is amazing, so well presented and really creative.

They serve big portions, so you should come here really hungry :)

There are many vegan and raw options as well as gluten free. They also have ice creams that taste heavenly!! (I tasted the chocolate w/ choco nibs, passion fruit and raspberry: all totally excellent)

Update: I've visited this place 4 times now. I even took my grandparents and they totally loved it! Specially my grand dad who is diabetic and has to cut down on sugar, he was really surprised to find a healthy food restaurant that doesn't have boring salads.

fantastic food !! - Edit

Wonderful service! They made up a simple dish for my 9yr old which we were thankful for. The Vegan options are clearly marked (hallelujah !!) best Vegan pizza and a wonderful risotto too. Brownie was dry but the Vegan ice cream was super creamy and tasty. Huge portions and great prices. The food here had more flavor than anything else we experienced in BA. A must for sure!!!

Pros: tasty food , big glasses of wine, Vegan ice cream

Cons: none!!

best pizza in the world - Edit

I went here several times during my stay in may 2013. They owners &staff were absolutely amazing &so welcoming &helpful. The pizza was the best vegan pizza i ever had in my life, it was so so tasty, i still crave it. The chef knows exactly how to feed a vegan. The food is very well presented & very creative with such a variety of colours. The owner spoke to me about how she &her partner learned to cook like that. I tried the nori wraps aswell with salad &they were amazing too. I wanted everything on the menu, wish i could bring chefs with me on my travels

Pros: healthy tasty food, great staff, excellent service

BUENOS AIRES VERDE - Edit

It's a must for vegs in BA, very chill compared to the rest of the restaurants in the area (Palermo), and the people are very nice; the waitresses and the chef are the sweetest. Everything's clean and cute. If you're vegan, you can ask for the cheeses to be replaced by soy cheese, but don't be too enthusiastic about dessert, everything has either honey or eggs, but the juices are delicious so it's a good idea to order one for dessert. There's a tiny mini organic market. It's a good pick!

A bit hit and miss - Edit

I visited here twice with my family. The food seems a bit hit and miss, some things we ordered were amazing (the salads, quinoa crepe and vegan ice cream) but others weren't especially tasty (the salad sushi type main course and uncooked and unseasoned tofu, which is one of my pet hates).

If I could suggest one thing though it'd be that their menu could do with better labeling of vegan and raw products.

Pros: lots of vegan options, some tasty food

Cons: slow service, a bit expensive, poor labelling on the menu

The sweetest place. - Edit

I love this place. Is sweet, charming and calm. I love the written posters in the wall, because goes very well with the essence of being vegan or vegetarian. One of my favorite things to order is a smoothie, made with almond milk and berries, oh, is so lovely. They sell bags for make vegetal milks, that is amazing, because is so hard to find it.
One of the things I've didn't like is that the raw products that they offer, are sweetened with honey.
Anyway, I think is one of the best places in Buenos Aires.

Pros: delicious smoothies, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff

Cons: they put honey on their raw products

Buenos Aires Verde - Edit

Although it looks like one of those freaky 70's hippie vegetarian places, the food is really good! It's really veggie comfort food. The squash soup is outstanding! There are not many vegan protein options, but they will add tofu to a dish if you ask. Argentinian waitstaff in general hasn't really mastered the concept of service yet, but the servers are nice and it seems that they care, even if they aren't that experienced. This was my favorite veggie restaurant in Buenos Aires & we tried plenty of them. And don't miss the berry pie w/ vegan vanilla ice cream for dessert. YUM!

Pros: good food, reasonable prices, vegan options

Cons: slow service, not much protein

Smoothie heaven - Edit

While strolling around town we went there for a almond milk with lime smoothie. Mhhhmmmmm soo good!!!! Want to go back right away when thinking of it. They didn't have the pear one so they changed it with apple chai almond drink for my boyfriend. Very good too. The sandwich was nice sized with fresh salad and nice mayonnaise. I wished they had a vegan dessert but nothing really. Have to go back before I leave. I have to try a main dish.

nspanee 22 Feb 2013 - went back there for a dinner. this was a little disappointing as vegan. the only things they had vegan were vegan gnocchis with tomato sauce, pasta with tomato sauce and pizza. the gnocchis had a very good sauce but the consistence of the gnocchis were not the best. i make gnocchis by myself and they are more like "normal" gnocchis than these were. the tomato sauce of the pasta was sweet. kinda weird and not really my way. very disappointing as vegan is that the ice cream would be vegan if they'd not use honey to sweeten it. especially because there is no other dessert that is vegan.
the almond smoothies are definately the highlight there. if you are vegan and want to eat at the same level go to bio. bs as verde is good for vegetarians i suppose.

Love this place! - Edit

This is a cute little all-vegetarian place. The food is generally simple yet flavorful. They make some killer salads. I just wish they marked vegan things on the menu to make it a little easier to decide. You must get a smoothie here! Oh, and the raw vegan ice cream is great! The cocoa/cacao nib flavor was crazy-good.

Pros: healthy, ice cream
