BEST cheese platter ever! - Edit
We really enjoyed our lunch at Buddy. You must try the vegan cheese platter. We have tried a lot of vegan cheese but this has been our favourite. Puttanesca is fantastic (esp the tonno is incredible). Highly recommended, we will come back soon.

Schönes Restaurant, sehr zentral & nette Bedienungen. Das Essen war super lecker! Tolle Auswahl an typisch Italienischen Speisen. Wir hatten eine Pinsa mit Speck und Pasta mit Trüffeln und Carbonara. Der Kaffee schmeckt hier auch sehr gut (verschiedene Sorten an Milch zur Auswahl). Kulinarisches Highlight in Rom!

Maybe a one off bad experience? - Edit
We stopped here for a late breakfast, pleased there’s somewhere vegan friendly with plenty of outdoor space so close to the tourist centre. The reviews are clearly great, so I wonder if we found them at a bad moment, or had a one off experience. The best thing was the vegetable fritto misto which was pricey (around €16) but tasty. The vegan breakfast wasn’t all hot, and was made with really basic ingredients-not the amazing quality produce served in all the other restaurants we’ve visited in Italy. The coffee was the worst I’ve ever had on many trips to Rome and the orange juice was so full of ice it was really watery-again not something I’ve had before. The service was slow and not super friendly and the bathroom is really shabby. There aren’t loads of such vegan friendly places in Rome but there are enough that are better than here. Sadly we won’t be back.

I think we caught them at a bad time… took ages to order, then when we did the food came before the drinks. My food was cold so had to send it back. Not the best food I’ve had in Rome unfortunately. Disappointed as really wanted to be a big fan!

Despite being in such a touristy spot, they seem to actually care about making good vegan food. The pasta puttanesca was amazing, the noodles in particular were much better than what this Northern European palate is used to. We also had Chicorée as a side, it was quite garlicy (in a good way). The Marinara Pinsa was really good and cheap. A large Portion, filling, tasty dough and Sauce. Just could have done with a little more salt. The Carbonara wasnt as crazily heavy as the original, but still quite indulgant. Friendly service to boot. Overall, it goes to show that you can find great spots even in the tourist hot spots in Rome.

I was here a year ago, and had some really great pasta dish - possibly the best I've had in Rome. This time around, I had the vegan brunch. The staff were really accommodating - I can't drink coffee, which comes with the brunch, but they were happy to swap it out for tea when I asked, at no extra charge.
Read moreThe only downside is the cost. Brunch, while filling, was 21€, plus there's a 2€ cover charge. I don't think it's feasible to get away without spending at least 20-30€ per person here. I guess that's to be expected given how close it is to all the tourist traps, but still, ouch.

Tiramisu was delicious.
Best tiramisu I ate in Italy so far. They set the bar high.
We visited Rome for a few days and we went there for 2 dinners and one lunch.
I guess this sums it up.
The reason I haven’t rate it with 5 is that the delicious truffle spaghetti were a bit more than al dente 😂 and not all servers were as good/ had the necessary charisma for this job.
Other than that I definitely recommend this place and I hope when I return to Rome in about 2 weeks to be able to travel to this place again to try other things on the menu. The pasta, pinsa, tiramisu, white wine and red wine were very good.

Had a very delicious eggplant lasagne, followed by the Oreo Tiramisu. Nice glass of red wine to accompany the lunch. I would definitely highly recommend this place to anyone, vegan or not. Not too pricey considering its location.

I traveled with my friends that are not vegan and this restaurant was by far one of their favorites. We ordered a bit of everything and there wasn’t one thing that was bad. The pizza was perfecto! All the sauces were so yummy and the options are overwhelming in a good way!

Ich (vegan) war mit Freundinnen dort (alle nicht vegan) und wir waren alle begeistert. Der Käseersatz auf den Pinsas hat sowohl für mich als auch für die nicht-Veganerinnen perfekt authentisch und aromatisch geschmeckt und die Nudeln waren auch sehr lecker. Die Preise sind für die Portionen (nicht zu klein, genau richtig) angemessen. Das Personal ist freundlich und das Essen wird schnell gebracht. Alles in allem würde ich auf jeden Fall nochmal hingehen, große Empfehlung!😄

The food was good, just not amazing. The truffle pasta was nice, but wish it was more creamy, and the pizza was pretty good. The staff was very nice and I like that they had a chili oil and red pepper flakes.
