Nice vegan brunch - Edit
Their vegan brunch is very nice, but I wasn't really full after it and I felt it lacked pancakes or something sweet.

Vegans Beware- don’t eat here. - Edit
Please don’t eat here if you’re vegan. We ordered the vegan burger and vegan buffalo cauliflower, and were served octopus- even though the server said it was cauliflower. Since it was battered and deep fried as the consumer it was impossible to tell what it was- and I took a bite of the red chip served with it (thinking maybe it was a beer chip), and it wasn’t until we cut it open did we realize it was octopus. I definitely ate some kind of cured meat. The waiter was unsympathetic and shrugged off the error. Vegans beware. Ruined our night. Hope I don’t have any stomach consequences to look forward to...

Good spot, nice lunch - Edit
Nice micropub on the harbor. Food was good. While some vegan options are available, there isn't a lot. What we tried, however was very good (though my wife wasn't crazy about the vegan burger, she really enjoyed the hummus that was put out with the bread, as well as the tomato soup). The service was great, and it was wonderful sitting outside in the sunshine.

Went back again! - Edit
Went here my first night in Reykjavik and was so blown away that we came back on our last night.
Read moreOn the first night, I got the vegan set menu which included a spicy tomato soup, vegetable risotto with nut and mushroom croquettes, and a sorbet with apple and watermelon, all of which my Omni brother and grandma said tasted better than what they had ordered.
Came back on our last night and there was no set menu, but all of these options were able to order anyway, so I got the same. My brother opted for the vegan burger with shoestring fries which was delicious and quite large in size.
The staff is very accommodating and knowledgeable (as most people in Reykjavik are with veganism) and make sure to take care of you. For example, they note that the soup normally comes with creme fresche and make sure to point out that they didn’t add it. They also know which beers and other drinks are vegan.
It is quite expensive so perhaps it’s good for a date night or your one nice meal, but worth every penny!
Pros: Vegan 3 Course Set Menu on Weekends, Knowledgeable staff, Great beers / drink menu
Cons: Expensive

Delicious vegan burger - Edit
Their house made vegan burger has a sweet fresh mustard on it that is key to the whole sandwich. Comes with a side of fries. The waiter told me that all of their sauces are vegan, including the mayo. Friendly, knowledgeable staff!

Decent (Expensive) Food, Limited Options - Edit
I ate a Bryggjan Brugghus while visiting Reykjavik, and I chose it largely because I love microbreweries and they have some vegan options. We sat in the dining section, without realizing their was a bar section with a different menu. I had the baked carrots entree, which included portabellos, kale, and barley, while my husband had the oven roasted cauliflower and sweet potato fries. It was all tasty, but I really felt like we needed something else for a meal, preferably something with protein. For the beer, they were out of their IPA, so we had a local beer not brewed by Bryggjan Brugghus (Leifur Nordic saison, which is great). We also each had a cocktail, and those were great. Overall, I had a great time, and it was nice to have a fancier dining experience in Reykjavik, but it was definitely not my favorite vegan meal.

Gastro pub with some vegan options - Edit
This place is a fancy beer bar near the water. I think it'd be a nice date spot, but the vegan food is limited and the price tag is heavy.
Read moreWe got the vegan club, which was really just a typical veggie sandwich with avocado, lettuce, tomato, etc. The bread was fresh and the shoe string french fries were good.
Definitely worth checking out if you're interested in beer, they have a lot of options and that upscale beer-sniffer vibe. If you could care less about beer, eh, you can skip it and not miss out on anything.
Pros: Vegan options, Happy hour
Cons: Pricey, Few options

Vegan club sandwich with sweet potato fries! - Edit
That was about the only vegan option on the menu - fairly expensive (about 2600 ISK?) but the plate was satisfying. The sweet potato fries came with the sandwich and was the best part, crispy and just delicious. The sandwich was kinda small, two slices of white toast with avo, zucchini, tomato and salad. Nothing special, they could have used more exiting ingredients. All in all tasty.
Read moreThe waiter at the bar was friendly as he told us the sandwich came with fries (it didn't say so on the menu so first we ordered fries as a side dish, but then didn't take them as we were informed they were included). And there was plenty :) They charge extra for sauce/dip for the fries, my partner took one, but it probably wasn't vegan (didn't ask bc he's vegetarian).
Nice atmosphere, they have a wing for "bar food" and a fine-dining salon (looked really fancy). It's also a micro brewery so they had some nice beer choices that change with the brews.
Pros: Good sweet potato fries, Micro brewed beers, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Few vegan options, Fairly expensive

In same building as the Maritime museum - Edit
The vegan options are clearly marked on the menu. We had the vegan mushroom tacos and veg club sandwich. Both were pretty tasty but the taco fillings were not evenly distributed throughout the tacos so splitting between two people wasn't optimal. Really tasty beer with a good happy hour.

good vegan options and beer! - Edit
We visited in december and had a delicious holiday ale. I could really go for another. A short distance from the city center, but worth the hike. Visit the whale museum just two blocks away.
Read morethe bread to start was great. they brought humus instead of butter to be vegan. They all spoke english well and understood what vegan meant.
Sandwiches were great as were the sweet potato fries. I could have eaten an entire plate of them.
Pros: delicious beer, awesome fries, clearly labeled vegan
