Poor service

We had planned to visit in November 2025, but I unfortunately came down with a nasty stomach bug while in Iceland. We called the restaurant to explain that I couldn't make the reservation due to illness and was reassured on the phone that we wouldn't be charged a cancellation fee. Despite this, we subsequently received an email notifying us of a cancellation fee of 20,000isk (£120). If we had been told when we called that a fee would be charged (and this is understandable given they are a small business), my wife would have stuck with the reservation and taken her friend instead. However, we were clearly told over the phone that a fee would not be charged. After raising with the restaurant, I received a copy/paste of their cancellation policy, which we were very well aware of, hence why we called ahead in the first place! Very disappointing.

Nice restaurant, and nice tasting experience.

I tried this restaurant just few days ago. Very good and fresh food, mostly local. I asked for a full vegan menu, and I got a very delicious one. There's passion and experimentation in the dishes, good and cosy atmosphere, staff very professional and prepared. Vegan dishes out of ordinary, well thought. It was a pleasant surprise indeed!

Pros: High standard full vegan menu, Creativity and good flavours , Local ingredients

Cons: Rather expensive budget
