Instagrammable food that is meant to be looked at, not eaten - Edit
I came to this place for breakfast after having seen the other four star reviews here on HappyCow.
Read moreFirst thing I noticed after walking in, was the smell. I think I was sitting close to a air freshener since the odor was so strong. But anyways, I was really put off by the fragrance. I have a rather sensitive nose and don't like air fresheners, perfumes etc. Especially not when eating.
I ordered the plant-based avocado toast with scrambled tofu and a beetroot latte with soy milk (cost an extra 8AED).
Unfortunately neither the drink nor the food were really good. The drink was simply pink soy milk, no other taste discernable. And it came with a non-vegan cookie on the side.
The toast and avocado were fine. Although the toast was actually a piece of sweet potato. Fine but very forgettable.
The scrambled tofu however was probably the worst scrambled tofu I've ever had. It had a weird consistency and was rather dry. On top of that it has an odd taste.
The pricing at this place is ridiculously high for what you get.
The only good thing I can say, is the presentation and staff. Everything looks really pretty and the staff were really attentive and friendly. Although I don't think anyone really understood the concept of veganism.
I wouldn't recommend going here unless you want to take pictures of food for Instagram.

Wonderful ambience, good service and a unique vegan menu offering dishes such as tofu scrambled eggs and chickpea omlette. Great for a vegan breakfast or brunch!
