What Din Tai Fung Wishes it Was - Edit
my only regret is not coming here sooner:
Read more- peanut dan dan noodles: 10/10 delicious peanut flavor with a bit of heat and sparklingly fresh vegetables
- minced pork on rice: 10/10 strong earthy umami flavoring balances perfectly with the fluffy rice and sharp pickled daikon
- fried potstickers: 10/10 literally 20 vegetables inside, seasoned to perfection with a crunchy border and rich tangy sauce
chef is a lovely person and if you don't mind that there's no table service, it's a lovely place to sit and eat as well
can't wait to come back and try literally everything
Pros: everything is delicious, chef jerry is delightful, great ambience for dine-in
Cons: no table service (but also no big deal)

This is such a quaint place and the host was super nice. The food was absolutely the best food we've had in the LA area

Passionate Chef, Delicious Food - Edit
Not only was everything we got super delicious, the food was comforting and had solid portions. The atmosphere was also great. The owner/chef is clearly super passionate about his food and he is super friendly.

Great little spot in Universal City. I ordered the spicy dumplings - outstanding - and the garlic mushroom rice, delicious. You order at the front and can sit down in booths, common tables or spacious tables. All around Good vibes
