Shout louder I can't hear you!!!!

What did you say? Sorry can you repeat that? Above are some phrases you will need to employ if you sit at the bar (go to the tables if you can). My girlfriend and I did enjoy the burritos (even though we could not hear and also apparently asked for barbecue sauce - which was nice).

Great breakfast place

There aren’t too many places in Gaslamp District with actual vegan breakfast options. This place has a dedicated vegan section. Food was even served on a dedicated vegan plate.

Pros: Dedicated vegan menu, Tasty food

Outstanding vegan breakfast!

We had the Bennie’s and the harvest omelette. Clearly marked vegan section of the menu. Excellent flavors. Vegan sausage is tasty! Sourdough bread was yummy. Very good rosemary flavored breakfast potatoes. Highly recommend!

Pros: Good options - clear menu, Friendly people , Good coffee

Hit the spot

Was looking for some vegan brunch and was not disappointed! A vegan section on the menu with about 5 meal options including egg and meat subs, even vegan pancakes. Burrito was huge and delicious. Definitely recommend

Average

Food was fine, nothing that excited me. The benedict lacked flavour. Chairs uncomfortable, tables a bit dirty. Much preferred Broken Yolk for food options and breakfast ambience.

3.5 stars for a vegan breakfast

We tried their Benedict and breakfast burrito and both were quite good. I wouldn’t call either of them the most delicious, flavorful, vegan breakfast I’ve had, but they were definitely convenient and I appreciated, how is it? Made it to get a good breakfast around the holiday.

Delicious vegan options

Jammin Bennie was delicious and filling. Pesto frittata was great as well. They give you a lot of breakfast potatoes but they got cold really fast.

Pros: Delicious options , Food arrived quickly

Cons: Breakfast potatoes

Where Breakfast Is Served All Day

...at least until their closing at 3pm. And breakfast (actually more like brunch, except not only on weekends, but every day - yeay) is what they do exceptionally well.
There is a dedicated Vegan section on their menu, along with plant-based milk options for coffee, tea, etc.
They don't just provide a "bare minimum" of Vegan options either. Everything is top-notch, in terms of quality, seasoning and presentation.
Service is also exceptional - thanks Erick! If I were to stay in San Diego longer, I would definitely be going back.

Pros: Great quality food and prep, Excellent service

Few options but they’re good

Breakfast Bennie was pretty good! Would say 4 stars not 5, definitely felt like fake eggs and squeeze bottle hollandaise but I enjoyed it nonetheless

Vegan section on menu!

Good breakfast option for vegans in downtown San Diego area. Omelet texture perfect. Great presentation and large portions.

Pros: Vegan specific section on menu, Vegan omelet texture , In-house ketchup

Cons: Side potatoes could use more spice

Awesome veggie burrito

Was lucky enough to be staying just up the block from here. Went in for the much heralded veggie burrito and it fulfilled expectations. Sat at the bar as it was just me and there was a wait otherwise. Wait staff very welcoming and attentive.

Good sized portions and vegan menu

All of the vegan options sounded delicious. I got the breakfast burritos and Jammin’ Bennie. It was a Saturday afternoon and very busy but the bartenders were super friendly and helpful. The portions were big and the food was delicious.

Pros: Vegan options clearly labeled , Delicious , Good sized portions

A little average in my opinion…

My boyfriend and I both were super excited to try this place out but it’s pretty evident there isn’t much dedication to the vegans. I felt like both dishes, the burrito and the frittata, lacked spices and it underdelivered in my opinion. It’s a great breakfast option when you’re dining with non-vegans but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back..

I probably would recommend the burrito over the frittata. There seemed to be less frittata than I expected. I wasn’t really full after eating it but I loved the burrito a little bit more and the rice and beans were pretty delightful.

The vegan jammin bennie was probably my favorite, and I bet it’s better dining in vs to go, but it also lacked spice and flavor. I loved the blueberry jalapeño jam with the hollandaise but I think the Italian sausage needed seasoning. Overall a good option.

Pros: Vegan breakfast options, Reasonably priced champagne

Fantastic Vegan Options

The vegan options were proper vegan food. Not like some omnivore restaurants that make food vegan by removing things. The food was delicious. My breakfast burrito included cheeze and fake meat as well as beans, rice and veg. Nice vibe to the place as well.

Pros: Separate vegan section on the menu. , Five meal choices. Huge portions. , Opted for the breakfast burrito. Delicious.

Tasty Vegan Options

Very tasty vegan options! Happy that they had a vegan section to the menu, and that they labeled the bloody mary and marias as vegan. Hope they add more vegan options. It is a very popular, crowded spot. Make reservations if you can. #Veganuary

Good vegan options

I enjoyed the plentiful Vegan Breakfast Burrito and the Adaptogenic Antioxidant Shot. The vegan summer special sounded good: Crispy Mushrooms and Cornbread Pancakes.

Oh, this place is awesome!

Popular eatery in town. We had the vegan fruttata, a well-portioned masterpiece loaded with veggies and served in its own skillet, with potatoes and sour dough toast.
The coffee is truly delicious.
My favorite breakfast in SD.

Pros: Wonderful food, great service

Very good! Long wait though

Very delicious food! I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was very delicious! Tho the wait time was extremely long 🥵 we waited like 80 minutes to get seated. There were only like 5 vegan options, but it was very good! There is no way to reserve seating, and so if you are okay with waiting awhile I highly recommend

Pros: Tasty

Cons: Not many vegan options, Vegan food a bit more pricey

AMAZING!!!

The vegan food here is amazing!!! I went with my mom and sis and we split the vegan Lavender Peach Pancakes (which is currently a spring special) and the vegan Jammin’ Bennie. Both items were absolutely to die for!!! My mom is not vegan and is extremely hard to please when it comes to vegan food and she even said it was the best vegan food she’s ever had. The wait is usually pretty long (we waited an hour and a half) but trust me, it is so worth it!

Pros: A handful of vegan options, Delicious

Cons: Long wait, Doesn’t take reservations , Vegan items more expensive than rest of menu

Popular for a reason

Although the vegan options are quite limited, what they do have is delicious! We were seated outside and I ordered the Vegan breakfast burrito and it was mammoth. I was pretty content after eating half but willed my way to finish. The burrito also came with Mexican rice and black beans. Great place to bring non-vegan friends.

Pros: Vegan options.

Cons: May be a wait. (Worth waiting), Few vegan options
