Good breakfast option for vegans in downtown San Diego area. Omelet texture perfect. Great presentation and large portions.

Awesome veggie burrito - Edit
Was lucky enough to be staying just up the block from here. Went in for the much heralded veggie burrito and it fulfilled expectations. Sat at the bar as it was just me and there was a wait otherwise. Wait staff very welcoming and attentive.

Good sized portions and vegan menu - Edit
All of the vegan options sounded delicious. I got the breakfast burritos and Jammin’ Bennie. It was a Saturday afternoon and very busy but the bartenders were super friendly and helpful. The portions were big and the food was delicious.

A little average in my opinion… - Edit
My boyfriend and I both were super excited to try this place out but it’s pretty evident there isn’t much dedication to the vegans. I felt like both dishes, the burrito and the frittata, lacked spices and it underdelivered in my opinion. It’s a great breakfast option when you’re dining with non-vegans but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back..
Read moreI probably would recommend the burrito over the frittata. There seemed to be less frittata than I expected. I wasn’t really full after eating it but I loved the burrito a little bit more and the rice and beans were pretty delightful.
The vegan jammin bennie was probably my favorite, and I bet it’s better dining in vs to go, but it also lacked spice and flavor. I loved the blueberry jalapeño jam with the hollandaise but I think the Italian sausage needed seasoning. Overall a good option.

Fantastic Vegan Options - Edit
The vegan options were proper vegan food. Not like some omnivore restaurants that make food vegan by removing things. The food was delicious. My breakfast burrito included cheeze and fake meat as well as beans, rice and veg. Nice vibe to the place as well.

Tasty Vegan Options - Edit
Very tasty vegan options! Happy that they had a vegan section to the menu, and that they labeled the bloody mary and marias as vegan. Hope they add more vegan options. It is a very popular, crowded spot. Make reservations if you can. #Veganuary

Oh, this place is awesome! - Edit
Popular eatery in town. We had the vegan fruttata, a well-portioned masterpiece loaded with veggies and served in its own skillet, with potatoes and sour dough toast.

Very good! Long wait though - Edit
Very delicious food! I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was very delicious! Tho the wait time was extremely long 🥵 we waited like 80 minutes to get seated. There were only like 5 vegan options, but it was very good! There is no way to reserve seating, and so if you are okay with waiting awhile I highly recommend

AMAZING!!! - Edit
The vegan food here is amazing!!! I went with my mom and sis and we split the vegan Lavender Peach Pancakes (which is currently a spring special) and the vegan Jammin’ Bennie. Both items were absolutely to die for!!! My mom is not vegan and is extremely hard to please when it comes to vegan food and she even said it was the best vegan food she’s ever had. The wait is usually pretty long (we waited an hour and a half) but trust me, it is so worth it!

Popular for a reason - Edit
Although the vegan options are quite limited, what they do have is delicious! We were seated outside and I ordered the Vegan breakfast burrito and it was mammoth. I was pretty content after eating half but willed my way to finish. The burrito also came with Mexican rice and black beans. Great place to bring non-vegan friends.

Surprisingly incredible - Edit
Didn’t expect the breakfast burrito to be as delicious as it was. The price was a little much for takeout during COVID19 times, but if I had friends to eat there with the ambiance - and libations - would’ve justified the $.

Fast and friendly - Edit
Pretty good standard brunch menu. Service was fast and friendly, although there’s a wait at busy times. They have a specific vegan section on the menu. My only complaint is: I’ve seen more vegetables on the menu at other (non-vegan) places. This feels like they are stuck in the American meat-centric way of thinking about food.
