Great deal! - Edit

When I was in Berlin I asked the happy cow app: which vegan restaurant is the closest to my hotel? The answer was: Boussi Falafel. So I choose this venue purely based on the location, rather than on the food.

But... after having eaten here I would certainly choose Boussi Falafel for the quality of the food as well! This is a fast food restaurant, which means the food has been prepared before you arrive. The menu offers several varieties of falafel and explicitly states that it's all 100% vegan.

I opted for the falafel with couscous. The latter is a cardboard cup with salad, sauce, couscous, salad, sauce, couscous and so forth. On the side, three warm falafel balls are served. The ingredients were all reasonably fresh tasting and the falafel was crunchy and tasty. This certainly isn't a snack but a satisfying and filling meal. In my opinion, the price of 4 euros and 20 cents makes it a pretty good deal!

The clerk spoke both German and English and was delighted when I showed him his entry on the Happy Cow app. Boussi is located on the second floor of the "Berlin Mall". Once inside, follow the signs to the Saturn shop and / or the food court and you're there. The seating is shared with several other little food stands (Italian, Thai, Japanese and of course German if you happen to bring carnivorous friends). The mall is open from Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 21.00, which are also the opening hours of Boussi Falafel.

Pros: low price, big portion, reasonable quality

Cons: inside a cheap looking food court

Good vegan option near Postdamer Platz/Take-away - Edit

One of the only vegan option near Postdamer Platz. A little bit hard to find on the 2nd floor of the mall, and I had a headache after 10 min inside! Better use it as a take-away and eat in the Tiergarten nearby. The food is delicious, but a bit heavy. I had a falafelteller. The houmous and the salad are delicious, the falafel crispy outside and moist inside so perfect. But there was too much falafel (5 pieces) and not enough salad. I will take more vegetables next time.

Pros: Houmous and taboule are delicious, Friendly and efficient staff, clean

Cons: A bit expensive for a take-away, Too heavy

quick eats - Edit

if you are near here and in a rush, it's a good option. great falafel and okay hummus with a good side of Glasgow salad.
they seem to offer vegan halloumi, but I was concerned it may be lost in translation so gave it a miss.

Pros: quick, cheap, tasty

Cons: in a mall with lots of dead flesh, not that healthy.

Inexpensive - Expensive - Edit

We came there after reading that it's inexpensive vegetarian restaurant. It's not true. It's fast food and the cheapest food costs 3,50euro. Apart from french fries. The restaurant might be fine but we just lost our time walking and finding it and later discovering that it's actually a moderate expensive fast food.

Cons: Expensive, Only Fast Food

What do you consider inexpensive for a vegetarian restaurant in Berlin?
Is €3,50 for a sandwich expensive for Germany?

Great Vegan Falafel in Mitte - Edit

This is the second location of Boussi Falafel, the first is in Schöneberg. If you are looking for vegan Falafel at a great price and with quick friendly service look not further.

Pros: Vegan, Great Value, Made to order.
