Made sure they didn’t serve real chicken and it was super obvious if you watch. With that said the chicken burger was just okay. I would guess the beyond double stack would have been better. Still worth checking out but not all the hype I would have thought. 🤷♂️

Read moreIt was only untill half way through my burger I realised I was eating chicken. Me and my friends Clearly ordered VFC (even pointing at the option).
After realising I had been eating chicken I instantly went down to the stall and asked for my money back. In which the women refused and stated she didn't know I was vegan. I said I ordered the VFC after some time arguing back and forth she only agreed to give me part of my money back as she said I had eaten half of the burger.
Please avoid this place if you are vegetarian or vegan. I am really unhappy that I have been served meat, having been vegan for over 6 years now.
Avoid this place like the plaque it's not worth the risk!

Fries were good and onion rings were cut and battered right in front of us. 2 women ran the counter and be prepared it is just a counter with 2 stools. Great experience! They cook right in front of you. Cash only and you can grab a beer at the bar next door. Beyond Burgers were also on the menu. This is a must try in Phuket!

Read moreMap is fairly accurate except it’s on the right side of the alley you walk down. Alley looks fairly quiet nothing much going on blink and you’ll miss it, we almost walked past.
This place is well worth the visit

As a vegan of several years I've travelled all over Australia and throughout Thailand and nothing has come remotely as close to those nostalgic KFC Zinger burger flavours as the V.F.C Burger at Bootlegger. What a gem! I wouldn't say it tastes exactly the same, but my god it's so damn close you've just got to try it! There are 4 vegan burgers including this, Hot Chick and two 'Beyond Beef' Burgers (a single and a double stacker) with vegan cheese. There's also 3 sides, fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings (80 Baht each). Updated hours confirmed by owner are 6pm til 2am every day.

It’s actually across the street from where the Happy Cow app shows it, just off the main road on the same soi as the Ex Pat Bar - turn when you see the sign for the Ex Pat Bar and it’s the second storefront on your right side. They are still experimenting with the hours, so if it’s not open when you come by, try again later in the evening.

A great little find just a few meters off the main road near Bangla street. Great selection of burgers with the most amazing homemade sauces, slaws and pickles. Perfect street side location to sit for a burger and beer while watching the world go by. Very friendly and welcoming owner, you can tell alot of love is gone into preparing the burgers. A must visit when in town
