When I first became Vegan, the Blue Plate Diner was a place I loved to go with my fiance/wife and her family. It had a broad selection of vegan and omni friendly options, was understanding about other dietary restrictions, had prompt service and was somewhat trendy.

That was more than 6 years ago, and since then it's actually gotten worse. Their vegan-friendly selection has become increasingly limited, and they seem chronically understaffed when I go. Further, the environment is very loud and difficult to visit with friends and family in, and they keep the restaurant in a state of perpetual darkness. Given the growing number of vegan friendly locales in the city, Blue Plate is quickly losing what made it attractive, and is starting to look less trendy and more dated.
