I can't recommend enough!

When we walked into BlueBoy I was sceptical because they didn't have an English menu I was worried what we might order.

They have an English speaking waitress who came over and helped us order our first dish with ease. After devouring it we ordered more and more taking her advice and weren't disappointed.

The food is very tasty and high standard and great value for money. I can't believe how little the bill was. I just wish we had discovered it sooner so we could have gone back.

Nice hidden spot

Really hidden in an alleyway, was super hard to find 😄 the owners were really sweet and accommodating. The buffet had many options to choose from but the food was already cold (which makes sense) and the flavor was not the best imo. But still a good choice for a good price! ✨

Good food but cold

It’s an affordable buffet which is really nice. There’s a variety of many vegan dishes. The food is cold though. The staff is super sweet and helpful!

wonderful food

it was a bit difficult to find, check my google maps to see the correct location. i specified vegan food and they had a great selection with vegan meals. i took the rice and asked them to just make a mix with some things on the buffet and it was delicious. i don’t know the name but the red ‚meaty‘ dish was the best. would come again!
they were super friendly, a lot of space to sit down. they offers buffet, but also soup, fried noodles,…

Chinese veg yum yums!

I love these dodgy looking back alley places. Thank you, mobile phones, internet, apps and crowdsourcing!

Blue Boy vegetarian is in a dodgy looking back alley under a dodgy looking building. There was no menu but the lady spoke some English, with a thick accent. I just pointed to what I wanted from the buffet, and she asked me if I wanted rice or noodles and fried or not, and I specified no egg. She told me no egg when she brought the fried noodles. So everything in the photo is vegan.

I have no idea what I'm eating (given no written description) but it's really tasty! 😋🤤

Many Vegan Options

This is an excellent value traditional Malaysian vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options. For example, there were four different types of Tofu. Very tasty dishes generally. Lunch plus tea for two costed RM39.

Good food

Food is full of flavour, of course with it being a buffet style the food wasn’t very warm but other than that was really good.

Blue Boy Vegetarian, Kuala Lumpur

The lady took the fried egg serving utensil to then serve vegetable dishes. That is a dealbreaker for me personally. HappyCow won't let me rate lower than 2 stars.

Good food

Good food for a reasonable price. Only thing I have to comment on is that the food is rather cold, wish it was hot or even at least warm.

best char koay teaw

They have the best fried noodles in town. Featured of newspapers too. They also have the best asam laksa. Yummy. The yong tau fu is not good. Just stick to the CKT.

The shop is very badly managed and run down by the 2nd generation. Disappointed.

cheap local food

We had some kuai trow (fried rice noodles) at lunch, and chicken rice for breakfast, they were very delicious and affordable. the venue is under apartments and no AC, so find a table near some fans!

Pros: Ice drink options, Selection of tofu dishes, Mock chicken rice dish

Low-key vegetarian street food

Went on a national holiday so it was very quiet. Had the Fried Kuew Teow (which was really nice) and Yong Tau Foo (ok, bit cold as it was sitting out but still tasty).

Make sure to specify no egg and then it's fully vegan.

Very tasty good value

We walked up to this place and the outside looks a little run down, but it was super busy loads of people in there. The staff were very nice, helped us. We got the rice with 3 dishes, the char sui porkless was amazing, and the potato rendang one too. We both got meals and drinks for RM 30!!

Pretty good veg Nasi Lamak

A simple buffet style malay and chinese restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The food is reasonably priced as it caters mostly to locals.
We ate a veg Nasi Lamak for only 9 RM per meal. It was tasty, but the portion could be bigger.
On the other hand, at that price we could easily get another plate if we wanted.
A good local experience all in all.

Traditional Malaysian dishes in vege version!

It is super nice that you can have all basic traditional Malaysian dishes in vegetarian/vegan version!

I gave 4 instead of 5 stars, just because I order from the menu, not buffet and still the food was cold😕

Other than that highly recommended!

The best vegan food in KL!

Most options are vegan, friendly English-speaking staff and the best food in KL. I ate laksa, nasi lemak and some sides available. Everything was super delicious, local and authentic. The place is also very clean. It is possible to takeaway.

Great breakfast spot

Open early, so a good option for breakfast. Nasi lemak was delicious. Other options were available, but was saving myself for a morning of food exploring. This was the best of the places I have tried so far in KL.

Pros: Authentic local place, Friendly service, Cheap

No complaints

Quick little stop in. 10MYR for bowl of rice and 3-4 options from the buffet pots. They’re friendly and happy to help you if you mention you’re vegan.

Portions are not massive but okay for 10MYR which is $3.30 AUS.

Will come back to order something off the menu. The vegan charsui pork was nice 👍

Edit: came back again on our last day here, got the vegan plate 2 servings of the kueh teow (ask for veggie only and NO EGG) and 2 cans drink for 38RMB.

Lovely owners. Felt full and satisfied !
