🔥 Sizzle, Crunch, and Flavor—Veggie Delights at Black Pine Tree Sushi! - Edit
We took a chance on Black Pine Tree Sushi Bar without seeing a menu online—and it totally paid off! Their vegetarian section was better than expected, and they even made us a custom teriyaki tofu that stole the show.
Read moreWhen the tofu hit the table on a sizzling cast iron plate, it turned heads—and started an order frenzy. The tofu was firm (we usually like extra firm), but it soaked up the sauce beautifully, and that sizzling presentation sealed the deal.
The real winner of the night? The sweet potato sushi roll—lightly battered in tempura, crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside. Absolutely addictive.
Watch out for the soy sauce bottles—ours may have been swapped between regular and low-sodium.
Friendly service, cozy setting, and a surprisingly veggie-friendly menu. A great stop for plant-based sushi lovers who still want some sizzle with their soy. 🍣🔥🌱

Maybe not the most creative, but the sweet potato, veggie, and tofu rolls were super tasty! Bonus that this place is a few store fronts from Super Baked! Dinner, and then dessert! 😊

back then, i loved this place. now in 2023, i would give it zero stars. they dont have a vegan menu anymore. i asked the server if any of the entres could be made vegan and she said "probably not" and wouldnt ask the chef. i got my veggie rolls, i still dont know if the miso soup can be vegan because the server didnt ask or give me an answer. she gave my diabetic partner regular coke when he ordered diet which has never happened before and was a very scary realization for us. the past 2 times weve been the only customers there and have had to wait over an hour for food. it has really gone downhill

Good selection of vegan options including mushroom ramen (which is so delicious!) and veggie sushi. They can make their tempura vegan upon request.
