Daily staple in Tangier - Edit
This is a great choice - though I’d nudge to trying others too (a favourite is deeper into the covered market at the far (north) end. Skilfully prepared Bissara perfectly seasoned - though everyone has their own additions, including bringing their own olive oil from home. Aka for some olive and choose between Moroccan flatbread or baguette. Ensure you have garlic. You can also buy a bag of olives inside the market place. Be sure to visit the church of St Andrew’s after leaving. It’s a great people watching and friend making place too.

Quality vegan street food option - Edit
Very local place, it’s not really a restaurant but more a quick sort of street food bite. They serve the bissara broad bean soup which comes with bread. Good quality and very tasty and fills you up for a while. We ordered it with tea and payed 15MAD per person.

1 crema, pan y aceitunas - Edit
Es un puesto del mercado donde lo único que sirven es la crema de alubias o guisantes Bissara o Baisara, con pan o si lo pides aceitunas, siempre lleno de gente del mercado. La crema la puedes encontrar también en cualquier lugar de comidas

Amazing experience! - Edit
It feels very authentic. We were surrounded by locals who were on lunch break. At least that's what it felt like.

We paid 25 Dirham for two soups and one mint tea, super cheap!

Simple and good - Edit
I ate there twice. As a solo female I was very aware of the other customers being almost exclusively solo men, but I didn’t feel unwelcome. Soup and bread are 8 dh.
