Organic Inn with Veggie menu section - Edit
A local friend took me to Konfett as I'm vegan and it can still be quite difficult to find places that offer a variety of veggie food choices in a relaxed atmosphere, especially in this part of Germany. I liked Konfetti's atmosphere, which is casual and the menu is extensive with a section on vegetarian and vegan options including Flammkuchen (tarte flambe, a kind of white pizza). The drinks list is also extensive with hot, cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Would happily visit again.
Read moreAddition 2017: In fact, I have been here again. Noticed that they also have a gluten free page, but only a couple of the vegan dishes appear on that page, even though there are some more vegan and gluten free options. Best to check with the waiting staff.

They have a separate vegan menu which offers "Flammkuchen" and other traditional food. So the possibilities of choices are really good. They just got 3 stars from me because of the quality. I got fried potatos which wasn' t really fried with less salt and there was no salt on the table available. So real German fried potatos can taste much better than what I got.

We went to this cute restaurant in the heart of Neustadt for the first time after reading about it here.
Read moreWe loved the beautiful outdoor seating and the playarea for our kid. That way he was occupied until our food came.
All the dishes we ordered were really tasty and freshly cooked. The only thing that my husband missed was some sauce on his rice dish.
The staff was very friendly and we will be coming back.
Pros: clearly marked vegan menu, play area for kids
Cons: more vegan dessert options would be nice
