We came in with high hopes, but left feeling dissatisfied. The ambiance is nice and there are lots of options but we ordered four items and mostly underwhelmed:
Read more- fried chicken bao was a bit dry and the chicken substitute wasn’t the best, the bao bun itself was not fluffy or tasty
- mushroom truffle dumplings tasted fine but weren’t even warm when served (the crunchy bits on top were nice)
- the cauliflower wings were the best thing we ordered, they were pretty nice actually, both sauces were good, these actually came out a little too hot but at least they were made fresh
- the sushi roll (Philadelphia) wasn’t very good, the rice was old, and it didn’t seem fresh in general
Probably would not go again
Pros: Lots of options, Cauliflower wings, Nice interior
Cons: Underwhelming flavors

You can’t go wrong at Beyond Sushi! Firstly, service is excellent- knowledgeable and super friendly staff. Food is delicious. We had the Cauliflower Wings (order both sauces- sooo good), Ginger “beef” Dumplings and the Spicy Mango Roll. So glad we stopped here.

We loved the mushroom dumplings and the mang roll. The rainbow roll was the only thing that was just ok. Would totally recommend for a crowd pleaser take out.

The sushi roll with mushrooms was amazing. The tofu dumplings were very good as well. The tune sushi was okay - the look and texture were good but the taste was slightly off. The brownie with matcha ice cream was okay - the black seasame sauce and matcha ice cream were much better than the brownie and probably should just be served on their own. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Maybe this is my fault for picking sharing plates but they just did nothing for me.
Read moreWe had a peanut noodle dish that was awkward to share and the sauce has seeped to the bottom of the dish leaving the noodles tasteless. Personally I think the sauce should have been thicker.
The tuna/ salmon was bland and was served with chips which were well seasoned and had the overwhelming flavour.
The bao buns were okay but on this occasion the sauce packed a punch and you could taste very little else.
It odd I very little for me and maybe I should have had the sushi.

Our server was very attentive and made great recommendations of things to try on the menu. The fried chick’n bao was amazing as well as the spicy mang. I would definitely return to try some of the other great menu items.

Gau bao beef is delicious. Great sauce, but don't eat the pepper! The roll we t tried was very good. The other location we also got truffle dumplings, which we probably would not choose to get again. I didn't like the cheesecake which i felt should have been colder, firmer, and tasted slightly of coconut, not our favorite

Beyond Sushi was a perfect choice for lunch, and we were beyond pleased with every single thing we ordered! The portions of sushi are very large, about double the size you’d get at another place, so the prices make sense. The sushi was delicious and creative, and the bao we ordered was phenomenal. I finally ate from Beyond Sushi while visiting my brother in Manhattan. The Kale Yeah dumplings were delicious and perfectly smoky. The Chipotle Seitan seemed like the safest yet most filling option of all the sandwiches and it definitely did its job. I’m convinced in needing to try the entire menu
