Who would've thought that a small town on the central coast would have a restaurant serving seriously legit pizza with vegan options? When I asked about making the Pesto Veggie Supreme vegan, the server said they have vegan pesto and vegan cheese. They were also able to modify some of the salads to be vegan.
Read moreThe pizza was generously topped with a little char on the crust which was light with just the right amount of chew.
Staff was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant can get busy so be prepared to wait during peak times.

Delicious Vegan Pizza - Edit
Bello Forno seriously exceeded my expectations. I ordered the veggie pesto supreme pizza and asked for vegan cheese and no pesto if made with Parmesan. They made a vegan pesto and the cheese was a super thin layer under all the veggies. So so good. We are passing through town, but will make it a point to stop here again.

we live nearby and I love their pizza and wine selection. Any veggie pizza can be made vegan with vegan cheese and vegan pesto. I enjoy the veggie supreme or the north beach. No vegan desserts and I wish they had more creative veg options but very good option for vegans looking for a full meal.

Absolutely Delicious Vegan Pizza! - Edit
Because we saw Bello Forno on HappyCow we decided to invite some friends and give it a try on a Saturday night around 7:30pm. It was super packed full of people when we got there but rather than leave, we took that as a good sign and we decided to wait. I'm so thankful we did because the pizza was absolutely delicious!
Read moreMy wife and I paid the extra $2.50 to get the vegan cheese option on the Pesto Veggie Supreme pizza (Pesto Genovese topped with a fontina & mozzarella blend, mushroom, artichoke, roasted red pepper, tomato, olive mix, and arugula) for a total of $20 plus tax and tip. My only regret is that after our 30 minute wait we were so hungry that we ate ithe pizza too fast to take a photo for HappyCow. The wait was worth it though! I had half the pizza plus one slice and my wife had the rest and we were both satisfied.
I highly recommend Bello Forno!
Pros: Many vegan options (substituting w/vegan cheese), delicious, friendly staff

I really enjoyed eating at this unique pizzeria. It was very cute and trendy. All their vegetarian pizzas are available as vegan if requested with vegan cheese. We got the pesto veggie pizza which was delish.
