Breakfast on easter monday - Edit
When we got to Bean station on easter monday they were super busy, however the staff were very helpful and got us seated in minutes. The coffees were out within 5 minutes and the food was out in 15 minutes.
Read moreI ordered Bean the Vegan Braised Beans, Quesadilla’s, Cashew Cream, Avo Smash, Herb Salad & Charred Corn Salsa with a side of beetroot hommus. This was so filling and delicious. There were a few other vegan options too.
Pros: Few vegan options

1 Vegan Breakfast Option - Edit
There is a dedicated vegan breakfast option which is a bean tortilla type thing. We ordered the smashed avo and swapped the egg/fetta for spinach and tomato - Pity they couldn’t make the hash browns or mushrooms vegan (contained egg/butter)

Braised bean tortillas - Edit
Great relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and the only vegan meal on the breakfast menu was awesome! I didn’t ask for more vegan options, but that could be a possibility? Great soya latte as well.

Amazing vegan burger - Edit
We stopped in on the drive from Melbourne to Canberra and had the vegan burger, which was bbq pulled jackfruit, with a side of apple chips. Both that and the coffee were yummy. Friendly staff and a unique location on the platform of the old train station.

yummy. - Edit
Nice place with friendly staff. They have one specific vegan meal on the menu which is a delicious coconut based Pana cotta, they were happy to make the smashed avo vegan too. It would be nice to see maybe a big breakfast which could be made vegan, or the hash browns made vegan just to broaden the breakfast options. Given what's available on the border though this is definitely a good find. I'm too conditioned by the options I have in Melbourne. Hopefully veganism will start being catered for on the border more broadly soon.
