Vegan but not necessarily healthy - Edit
The place does live up to it's slogan as "Vegan Southern Comfort Food," so if you like your food fatty and soaked in oil, you'll like the food. If you're looking for vegan food, that's actually healthy, go some place else.
Read moreMy wife and I were excited to visit this place as it's an all vegan menu, but were very disappointed with the oil & fat content of the food. We selected the "Bean Bowl" ($13.99) and the "Reuben Sandwich." ($10.99) The Reuben was so oily, I had to go to a nearby grocery to get some fruit to clear the taste out of my mouth. The side of "mac & cheese" was just plain nasty. I took a couple of bites and left the rest. The "Bean Bowl" was huge and beautiful to look at, but again way to fatty with oil and dressing.
The atmosphere was OK, but were were turned off by the nose rings of the young ladies who waited on us, The place was very noisy with some type of raucous "music" and a video screen with cartoons. All in all the $35 dollar dinner was definitely not worth it to us. We will not go again as there are far better choices for us in non-vegan restaurants. This is an excellent example of being vegan but not healthy. Extremely disappointed in this place!
Pros: It's Vegan, friendly staff, good sized portions
Cons: Poor Location, Food not healthy by any stretch, overpriced
