Delicious food and kind hospitality - Edit
I really love to find restaurants where they already have several vegan options on the menu. At Il Gabbiano I’ve found customisable salads, with tofu, chickpeas and beans (also protein thank god) or pasta al pomodoro, pasta with veggies.

Has vegan options but wasn’t that great. Got the vegan panini. They were out of the avocado cream so it was just veggies and a tiny amount of diced tofu in some hard bread. Not impressed. 3 stars for effort but wish I got something somewhere else. Was lured in by the tofu option (you only get a tiny amount). Super loud, right by the dock. Lots of smokers all around.

Very kind staff who made sure I was well fed! The server understood I was vegan and put effort into ensuring I got enough protein and veggies. Very yummy food!

Labelled vegan items and possibility to make other things on request. The restaurant is right by the port so easy to access and the staff were very friendly and accommodating! Slightly expensive but in line with other Capri prices😄

6 good looking vegan options. Carlos at the front explained how this was his family business and they could make us whatever we feel like (risotto, pasta, sandwich, whatever!) They have vegan cheese(?!?) and fresh veggies. Also soy milk for coffee. It was slightly more expensive than I expected, but it’s so hard to find veggie food in Capri, much less a place that knows what veganism is and will make something to your taste, so I recommend it.

Owner is excited to make whatever you want - Edit
If you visit Capri and need a place to eat near the port I recommend going here. The owner, Carlos has two buildings (bar and restaurant) right next to each other on the water. He is very outgoing and knows what vegan is and is excited to work with you to make whatever you are in the mood for. We ordered a pizza and he showed us everything we could put on it including vegan cheese. They can also make pasta, paninis and salads as well.

💭: this was a tomato sauce with aubergine dish. It was very enjoyable and filling. Sort of tasted like french fries the way the aubergine had been cooked.
🤷🏽♀️: Order again? Yes
📝: this establishment actually contains two shops side-by-side; a bar and a restaurant. The seating area is across from these stores, placed in front of the marina. Great location with reasonably priced food. Great value. The vegan options were clearly labelled.

Great spot! Vegan options can be hard to come by in Capri and was so delighted to find clearly marked items on the menu. They have a lovely selection of vegan pasta, sandwiches, salads, and vegetables done in a variety of ways.
Read moreThe host or owner is extremely charismatic and will give you a few laughs while you’re there. You MUST try the lemon granita to finish your meal, it is the perfect amount of sweet, sour and tart. Many of the other ones on the island are far too sweet.

Lots of options, veggies, tofu,pasta, they will make you whatever you want with what they have! I had the tofu, broccoli rabe, tofu and tomatoes with avocado. And went back the next day and had an Assortment of vegetables with bread.

Really really nice owner. Speaks English Spanish and Italian. Knows difference from vegan and vegetarian. Will accommodate and help you make sandwich/ salad/ pasta. If need something cooked extra they will do it no problem. Fresh salads

I’m not one to write reviews, but if I could give this place 0 stars, I would. We walked past this restaurant in a rush to catch out boat. The worker was recruiting us to eat there, so we politely declined. He later found us and proceeded to yell & cus at us for not eating there. While my friend was infact eating focaccia he bought from there, which was not good.
