A great selection of both sweet and savoury Sicilian goods. It was busy but didn’t seem like there were many tourists so it’s clearly popular with the locals. We initially popped in for a sweet treat and ended up buying extra for takeaway and returning again in the afternoon for the savoury menu! We tried the cannoli which was amazing! It seems hard to come by vegan cannoli in the area. We also had a croissant, lemon granita and three different savoury items with vegetables and vegan cheese (see pictures). Everything was delicious! Definitely a must try stop for vegans visiting Catania

I had the usual vegan panic of suddenly being unable to choose anything because there were too many good options for once. I eventually settled on (honestly, I still don’t know what it was called - some kind of filo-style pastry filled with warm chocolate cream). Crispy, rich, warm, perfectly balanced sweetness. One of those desserts you keep thinking about afterwards.

Awesome vegan place - Edit
I loved that everything in this place was vegan. Being in the south of Italy, where traditional recipes are deeply respected and rarely changed, it felt amazing to find a place that veganizes authentic dishes so beautifully, with vegan cheese, plant-based meats, vegan cream, and all the familiar flavors. Places like this make me believe even more that the future is vegan.

The cafe itself had a lot of Italians in there, enjoying the desserts. They were finishing as we came in. So you know that's a brilliant sign.
We also bought a chocolate connoli to go, which we had the next day with coffee for breakfast and it was also delicious.
I forget the Owners name, but he's really nice, and let us have our coffee and order more even thpugh we reached 10mins before he was to shut the shop!
This is the type of vegan establishment I wish I could find in every major city! This man knew how to make authentic food. And used wholefood ingredients, no mockmeat. I really appreciated that.
Unfortunately, this is located far from tourist sights so we had to walk quite a long way. I hope he gets a second location closer to the teatre or even on via Etnea! I was only in Catania for a day, otherwise I would've gone back in a heartbeat!
Pros: Feels very italian, elegant, chic - great ambience, Delicious desserts & coffee, Warm, inviting owner. Super knowledgeable

A vegan gem in Catania - Edit
This place has an amazing vegan menu including extensive desserts. We had a pasta carbonara with tofu, tempeh and chickpea flour - delicious - and scaloppine di seitan with mushrooms (fungi) - also wonderful. Their included vegan bread was outstanding as well.
Read moreOn to desserts, their vegan chocolate canolo was amazing and we also had an excellent mousse pastry surrounded by hazelnut pieces.
The canolo was so good that we got another to go, along with two different arancino - pistaccio (in the shape of Mount Etna, a Catania specialty), and a regular one with tomato sauce.
This was one of the best vegan meals we had in Sicily!
Just be aware that they still offer a non-vegan menu even though the main listing says they are all vegan. Some of the pastries and arancini are not vegan. Be sure to tell them you are vegan.
We would have gone back but they were closed when we could have returned. Try it, you'll be very happy.

This place was so good. It is an all vegan bakery and everything was good. They do have a lunch menu that is not vegan that they kept from their original menu because of their long time regulars. Everything else is vegan.

J'y suis allée le midi avec ma marraine (pas végane) et on a toutes les deux bien aimé ! On a chacune pris un chausson salé et j'ai pris un cannolo au chocolat. Dommage qu'il n'y avait pas d'arancini ce midi-là. J'ai aussi pris des petits biscuits secs à emporter. C'était aussi très peu cher. Tout était très bon et le personnel très gentil.

They had so many options, it was hard to choose. I had a stuffed croissant and two cake thingies. They were great, the pineapple pie thingy was spectacular. The cookies are ok (they are good for Italian cookies, but that makes them only ok for being a little dry). The gelato was good and they had many flavours. I wish I could have tried more pastries and cakes. They make vegan Panettone in house (4 different kinds?) but only in a 1kg box so I missed out on that too 😁

Is all vegan, offers some typical italian specialities in vegan (cannolo etc), you can also sit down to enjoy (the Café is air conditioned). They also offer hot dishes, ice cream and vegan cheeses.

All of the bakery treats are vegan and they are incredible! Me and my partner shared the following: large chocolate croissant, large vanilla croissant and marmalade twist for just over €4 altogether! The cakes are a little pricier (around €3.50) but absolutely worth it and there is plenty to choose from. In terms of pastries I recommend getting in early to have more choice, but there were still plenty of cakes when we went in the afternoon. We didn't try the lunch options but there was an entire vegan menu with lots of options.
