I ordered crispy fried tofu with rice and he had bao buns with jackfruit but you get two buns so we actually split the orders to share. The Asian slaw was really tasty and I liked that it included radishes. There were lots of salad choices to add to the box. The jackfruit was too spicy for me but I really enjoyed the tofu. I had the lime and coriander dressing on my rice - so fresh. This all came in a meal deal with spiced fries and a drink each, it was too much food and we were not able to finish all of the fries. I would definitely go back to try the other vegan options on the menu, there was a popcorn cauliflower type thing and something with mushrooms that I imagine is like a pulled pork idea.

Pick from either bao or rice bowl & mix and match your fillings and dressings! Choose from tofu, jackfruit or mushroom. Love the tofu myself!! Kimchi fries are my absolute fav!!

Read moreWasn't sure if their botanic place was doing well but it must be as they've opened a second branch. They've really streamlined the ordering process too - used to be a big wait for them to grill the tofu which was only veg option. Now you can have tofu, jackfruit or I think cauliflower? Last visit was well before lockdown so reviewing from memory.
Your order will be done quick and is tasty. Like the special organic lemonade too. Pick from fixed sauce and veg after selecting your filling.
Downside is a meal of this size costs £10 for chips, drink, 2 small filled buns and a 550ml can. That's about £2.50 higher than good value and more than I want to spend on this kind of meal. Yes the ingredients are good but the meal that the botanic store used to offer contained 1 huge bun stuffed with whatever you chose and I think meal was marginally cheaper. Also this may have been a coincidence but after consuming jackfruit Bao here few months ago my tummy hurt bad for days which left a bad taste in my mouth, so much that I avoid jackfruit now.
A popular and nice place to eat but pricy and not spectacular in my opinion but good option to have.
