amazing food!! - Edit
This is one of my absolute favorite veggie places in thailand. The food is super tasty, not the usual curries, but a lot of different things i haven't had before. Dishes are packed with fresh veggies and we never had the same thing twice in the 4 times we ate there. The owner is really nice, letting you taste the stuff before choosing, brings xtra things to try and is very generous with the size of the plate. I will deffo go back next time i'm in the area!! To find it, walk north from the chinese temple, take the first small soi down on your left hand (follow the small yellow and red sign), keep on this street as it takes a swing to the right, walk down a few houses and it is on your left hand, set a nice garden, has the jae banners on the fence.

Be prepared - Edit
Fantastic place set in a quiet yard/garden with several shaded tables and ambient water fountains. It is located in very calm and cute little street accessible via Th. Mahayot or Th. Sumon Thewarat. The location is indicated on Google Maps and maps.me.
Read more"All you can eat" buffet for 50 THB, with a choice of five different cold and warm delicious vegan Thai dishes (curry, vegetable soups, cold noodles, tofu, separate eggs) and fresh salads, with warm brown/white rice.
Open 8.00 am to 14:00 pm, the earlier the more, the fresher and the warmer the food is.
Very friendly and welcoming owners, good vibes. Go there and enjoy the gift of life!
Cons :
1.
There could be an absolutely no chili dish for those who can not eat spicy at all
2.
They cook just once in the morning so if arriving late there may be no food left or the food may be not so warm any more
3.
This place presents a high risk of eating too much food, so you may need somebody to drive you back home. Be prepared.

Rustic simple Buffet - Edit
It was a very cheap buffet, but also a very limited menu. No noodles were on offer, only rice, I'm not a big on rice. There was local dish to the region available so nice to sample some Nan cuisine. It was very rustic local Thai and Nan cuisine.
Read moreI think there was 4 dishes of mock meats which were luke warm when we arrived. and we paid extra for some crispy things in a bag about 120 baht for two people, so super cheap.
There was no drinks at all except water.
The people were super friendly though and took pictures of everyone eating. Maybe we came too late on an off day.
Pros: get to try local cuisine, very good value for money, owner super friendly
Cons: very limited menu, no drinks other than water, no noodles

Don’t miss this place if you are in Nan. Food was amazing and only 50 Baht for the buffet. Bring your non vegetarian friends and show them this place. They’ll love it too. The owner and cook was super friendly! Definitely recommended!

Go from Dhevaraj hotel down Sumonthavaraj Rd, to the airport. After the traffic lights you will see first a budhist temple at youre left, then a Chinese temple. Next to this 2nd temple is the soi5; continue Sumonthavaraj Rd to the next alley, just 30m away. You could call this soi6 but it has no name.
This small street is paved with riverstones. There are signs: 'vegetarian'. At the end of the street you walk straight into the garden and terrace of the veg rest!
It is very peaceful (as long as the tv is off) and the food is delicious.
You will get an ceramic plate, not the cheap plastic ones! and the cutlery is strong not like the Uri Geller [censored] most of the restaurants have.
open 8.00 - 14.00
Most likely it will be closed on the 2 days after each Budha day.
