Busy little takeaway spot near the Gondola

A small and busy little takeaway spot with semi-indoor outdoor seating.
Two vegan items but not clearly listed as vegan - so had to check. The two options are the soup $17 and burger $20 (the same burger can cost anywhere from $17-$27) depending which takeaway you purchase from in Thredbo!!)
I checked if ‘vg’ meant vegan for their Lentil and Veg Soup and they said they’d leave off the Parmesan cheese.
Portion - good size.
Tasty soup - steaming hot served in takeaway bowl with side serve of rye bread.
Non-dairy milks available for tea and coffee. Cheerful server said they make the best coffee in Thredbo - however that’s if burnt coffee is your thing! It was made scorching hot - too hot to drink.
Note the food options are similar to the food found at all food places at Thredbo! Not a lot of variety. After a few days there all tastes the same even if location is different!

All the staff at Avalanche seemed rushed and because of this the vegan questions were a bit problematic - it felt like a big hassle when I asked the server to check what other options were vegan despite him saying he was a vegetarian and that he understood. Although he was fairly cheerful he was too flustered to check.

Quick and easy coffee and lunch

Great to find another cafe/bistro at Thredbo with vegan food options and coffee. Finally found a good coffee here! The soup and chips were great for lunch.

Pros: Very convenient, Warm soup great in winter

Cons: Would have loved more vegan options
