Knowledgeable Staff - Edit
Asia Caribe offers quite a few vegan options, all very clearly labeled on the menu along with gluten free and vegetarian options. I have a garlic/onion allergy and our server Julio was more than happy to work with me to find a menu item that worked- and he was happy to talk through which drinks were vegan! Location is fantastic as well- pedestrian only street that is very lively in the evening!

Delicious and a nice change from the offerings at other Isla Mujeres restaurants - Edit
There were lots of places on the island that offered vegan options but they were all very similar. We ate at Asia Caribe our last night. The vegan options are clearly marked on their menu. We had the spring rolls, cashew tofu. The cashew tofu was delicious!
Read moreThe comments about price (which I heard tourists complain about all over the island) confused me. I’m assuming it is based on the prices they are used to in their home city/town. Food prices were LESS expensive than anywhere we eat in Minneapolis, San Diego, New York, San Francisco, etc. It’s all relative.

Really tasty vegan options - Edit
Surprisingly tasty Thai options, we got the drunken noodles with tofu and the tofu cashew (we do love tofu, but there were other options without it!) and we loved the meals and the tasty sauces. Staff was great, we initially wanted to get it to take away, but it started to rain, so they accommodated a table for us and were very thoughtful.

Was okay, nothing special - Edit
This restaurant is extremely overpriced for what it is. We ordered fresh vegetable spring rolls which were awful. So bland. Then I tried the drunken noodles which was nice but not worth what I paid.

Caro y opciones veganas nada claras - Edit

Even for being on the main street in Isla, found this a bit pricey. But it was delicious and there were several options!

Great vegan options - Edit
We had miso soup and it was excellent and there are several dishes on the menu that have Vegan options. This night we chose a vegetarian option because we like the sushi here and there was some cream cheese that wasn’t vegan.

Tons of vegan options! - Edit
While there’s tons of vegan and GF options on the menu, the owners even offered several custom different vegan modifications for sushi rolls, tacos and more. I’d definitely come back.

Vegan options - Edit
The vegan items are clearly marked and the owners are happy to answer any questions you have. I recommend getting hot sauce on the side because the food was spiced to please the greater number of people (i.e. very mild and a bit bland). I tried the drunken noodles with tofu and all the veggies were fresh and delicious and the tofu was cooked nicely. The American owners have clearly made a place for themselves in the Playa Norte area and were out front greeting many of the snowbirds that flocked to the restaurant, all of whom were very happy to return to the restaurant again and again.

We are here twice during our stay and loved it. Delicious Asian food with great Vego options - no fish sauce or shrimp paste in their curries and onion and garlic can be omitted easily.

Good to see vegan options but the food was pretty sub-standard and overpriced for what it was (although food on the island is somewhat expensive in general).

AMAZING! - Edit
We stopped here for dinner one night while on vacation on the island. We would give it five stars if we could, but that is reserved for fully vegan/vegetarian restaurants. We have two vegans in the family, one gluten free, and one pescatarian so the menu was fitting and VERY accommodating for us all! Would truly recommend this restaurant for anyone coming to Isla mujeres. The tamarind sauce is incredible!

Ok food, lousy service - Edit
The food was basic, nothing special. Very similar to what they offer at Aroma Isla but fewer vegan options and more expensive. You have to ask then to make it vegan as on the menu the dishes are marked vegan/vegetarian so you don’t really know. The waiter was rude but the owner is lovely.

Caribbean Vegan delights - Edit
The white Sands and turquoise water of Isla mujeres are easy on the eyes but a bit harsh on the common vegan eater. lucky for us happy cow led us to this wonderful establishment run by an amazingly attentive American couple who take special care to satisfy their vegan customers. The menu has several nice pickings, specially the noodle dishes such as the drunken noodles (rum based sauce and tangy pineapple pieces make an amazing meal!). The bartenders mix top notch cocktails (we had an amazing bloody Mary) and the smoothies are generously big. Don't hesitate and pay at least one visit at Asia Caribbe. You won't regret it.

Really lovely couple own this restaurant in the busy north end of Isla Mujeres. They offer amazing vegan and vegetarian options. And after 3 weeks of eating tacos some Asian food was welcomed. My sis and I had rice paper rolls, Singapore noodles and a ginger stirfry, all were super fresh and tasty. Highly recommend.

Friendly place with great food! - Edit
My husband and I went there last night for our first dinner on the island. I had the Tofu Bangkok and he had Drunken Noodle! Both were great! If you don't want a lot of spice, "no spice" still has a little bit of heat, but it's not overwhelming. The staff is very friendly and the owner came over and had a nice conversation with us. Great place! We'll definitely be back!

Loved it! - Edit
So glad we came to Asia Caribe. The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. More than happy to go through the menu and explain all of the modifications to accommodate vegans and g-free options. They're working on vegan desserts but they're all available g-free. Can't wait to go back!

lovely owners - Edit
Went here for dinner with my sons and husband, whole family is vegan. I saw a sign that said vegan options so stopped to asked the lovely lady at the front who turned out to be the owner. She gave me a whole run down of all of our options. We had the fresh rolls, Mayan rolls (made vegan by omitting shrimp and and cheese but wrapped in fried plantains!), drunken noodles with tofu, tofu Bangkok. I am so pleased that they are making such an effort to create vegan dishes. My boys liked the Bangkok Tofu. I didn't love their take on the Drunken Noodles which was way too heavy on coconut milk and not like I have had before. The fresh rolls needed more umph like some tofu or fresh mint. That said, there were at least 7 vegan options and the service was fast and friendly. If you want more vegan freindly options, restaurants, and businesses, I would support these folks who are making a very serious and sincere effort.

It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. I admire that you have made this commitment and are living it with your entire family. I also appreciate the feedback on what you enjoyed most and least. I can't believe that I've never offered tofu in the vegetarian fresh spring rolls but that would be an easy addition. Usually they have fresh cilantro and basil but mint would also be delicious. We always have mint for mojitos so it's not a stretch. Thank you as well for the vote of confidence in the effort we are making to provide vegetarian and vegan offerings to Isla Mujeres travelers. We'll hope to see you on a future trip.
