Serves meat, vegan options available. Owner is an experienced chef who makes cook-to-order Thai food dishes and accommodates vegan requests. On Maenam's ring road, next to the K Bank ATM. Confirmed closed April 2017.
If you happened to be in Maenam, Koh Samui and you want to try traditional Thai food, but without the fish sauce and shrimps that's your place to be. Sue, the owner of the restaurant used to live in Australia and has 25 years experience in cooking. She tried all her traditional dishes the vegan / vegetarian way and offers those that are good according to her own taste buds. The portions are good. You are not going to be left with 2, 3 florets of broccoli and rice like at most veg-options restaurant. You get a huge portion of veggies and tofu added to your dish.
The food is really good, the prices are okay. I really loved the vegan papaya salad - so full of flavours.
The owner is humorous, friendly (at first a little bit rude, but after a moment one of the honest people we met during our stay).
I also like the sugar free smoothies / drinks and homemade coconut ice-cream.
good Food but nothing special for vegetarians - Edit
We went for dinner and tried the green and red curry with vegetable and tofu.
Pro: 5* for the quality of the food. Freshly made and all ingredients were "market fresh"
Good atmosphere in the restaurant
Vegan food is possible
No MSG
Con: minimal veg options on the menu
Taste of our food choices was ok, but not outstanding
Service is not too friendly
A bit pricy for the area
