So Thankful for Armonia

In a similar way to the another poster, I arrived at Armonia outside of their normal hours. Also like this person, they opened their doors to me after finding out that I was a hungry vegan. They gave me these delicious mashed potatoes with a salad, water, bread, and veggie patties. This was a very welcome meal, as I had just been eating fruit and vegetables from markets throughout the duration of my trip in Spain. When I had finished eating, I asked how much money I owed them. The person in charge said that it was up to me. Because I was so thankful for the hospitality and food, I handed him twenty euro. He refused and said that it was too much, and I handed him a ten. I would highly recommend this place, the service cannot be beat.

Pros: Very friendly people, Great food, Cozy environment

Cons: The hours seem to be slightly irregular

Feel like home

I went to Armonia for dinner very late one day early this week and I felt like at home. We ordered the quinoa burrito and the aubergine sauce with pitta bread, both very good (and big portions too!), but we were also offered a couple of zucchini with tofu as a starter which were very good.

And then they also offered us the best tortilla we ever had. You couldn't believe it was vegan!!! Super tasty. Also, the Greek cook sat down with us and before going away we drank mastika together. Simply one of the best restaurant experiences in my life!

Update October 12th 2018: sadly, tonight the owner told me that they are going to add meat to the menu...

Pros: Amazingly friendly staff, Good food, Open till late

Nice place, food and staff

We had a really positive experience tasting the delicious food they offer. Unless it is vegetarian, most of the dishes are vegan or they can adapt to vegan. The staff was really kind and treated us like kings. A place to repeat for sure!!!

Pros: tasty food, staff, location

HOMEY

It's a very cozy place and intimate, everything felt homey. We really enjoyed the very humane and kind staff. The setting was simple and efficient. The waiter even gave us some great advice about visiting Barcelone.
We got the moussaka and the dish with the aubergine. It was very comforting like home made food (which it probably was!!). The vegan cheese in the moussaka was incredible and so was the flavorful stuffed aubergine! The price was okay and well worth it. Dessert wasn't vegan, it's not a completely vegan restaurant.

Heaven

Armonia happened to be a block away from my hotel on a recent business trip. I had lunch here and 50% approx. of the options in their daily menu were vegan and absolutely delicious, with an unbeatable home-made touch as well. Dessert wasn't included in the price, though. Anyway the vibes from the venue and the staff were fanstastic. 100% recommended.

Pros: blissful food, big servings, lovely restaurant and staff

Cons: not open for dinner GRRR!

Delicious food!

We shared the delicious pate de berenja and hummus and a filete de seitan bio... We enjoyed it with a freshly made apple-orange-gingerjuice. Got a very nice cake as dessert for free 😍

So tasty - even with limited lunch menu

My Aunt and I enjoyed a fabulous lunch here yesterday. At lunchtime there is only a choice of two entrees and two mains. The full menu (with tapas, a vegan hamburger, etc) is only available for dinner. Yesterday's entrees (both vegan) were a miso soup and a fresh salad with kiwi, zucchini, cucumber and an assortment of lettuces. The soup was the most flavorful miso I've ever had and had a few little chunks of tofu and other veggies along with the traditional miso soup ingredients. For the main my Aunt and I both had the baked stuffed eggplant which was rich and flavorful full of rice, spices and chunks of crunchy baked tofu. Also, we noticed a sign that said they have a new chef on staff. So tasty. And it was only 23 or 24 euros for 2 people who each had a main, an entree and a coffee. The restaurant is very close to La Pedrera. A must for vegans in Barcelona!

Pros: lots of vegan options , affordable

True Happiness this way lies

I ain't ever found peace with the religion of the world but I've found harmony in Armonia. After first spotting this place in December 2015, I was eager to return for food. We had the menu of the day consisting of a miso soup, lasagne and carrot cake. All vegan. The miso soup was so delicious and full of seaweed and chunky carrot and potato. The lasagne was genuinely the best vegan lasagne I have ever had. It was served in a cute ceramic pot. The carrot cake was a perfect completion to the menu. Succulent but not stodgy. This is a place I would like to come back to for a night time meal.

It's one of THE THE best in Barcelona.

Pros: lovely interior, very friendly, great vegan options

Cons: NONE

Unfortunately I was disappointed

I discovered this restaurant through here, Happy Cow, and decided to give it a try. I ordered the stirred vegetables, I was SO disappointed with the size!! I think I had like 3 mushrooms, a quarter of a carrot, 2 very thin slices of tomato and that was it. Well, besides the tiny sauce in the corner. I was still so hungry after I finished, I ordered the hummus, so the price elevated a little bit.
In comparison to my friend's plates, I felt I got ripped off.
The other plates looked good though.

Pros: Place, Decoration

Cons: Price, Portion size

Quaint, friendly, mostly vegan restaurant

Located two blocks away from Rambla de Catalunya, this is a friendly, relaxed restaurant with a mostly vegan menu. They post the Menu del Día every morning on their Facebook page.

Food is well cooked (if not raw of course) and nicely presented.

Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.

Pros: Mostly vegan, Tasty, well presented food, Friendly and chilled

Cons: Sometimes only Menu del Día available

NOT ALL VEGAN!!

This is a very nice restaurant but it is DEFINITELY not all vegan. I ate a lemon tart which was too tasty to be true, under the assumption that it was vegan, as per the Happy Cow description.

I went back again a different day but asked this time because I was suspicious that the lemon tart had tasted too good -- and I was right! The waiter (very very nice waiters at this restaurant) told me the lemon tart was NOT vegan! But that the other two desserts - chocolate mousse and carrot cake - WERE vegan.

SO THIS IS NOT A VEGAN RESTAURANT.

Having said all that, I will still be frequenting this place because it is very nice - but will double check that what I'm ordering is vegan!

Pros: very nice place, very nice waiters, good food

Cons: NOT vegan

opening hours

Haven't had a chance to eat there yet but ... open 12 until 4pm and 8 until 11ish at present. Intends to open for breakfast in a couple of months. Enjoy breakfast for me if you can. Not found a vegan breakfast yet in Barcelona.

Tasty vegan gyros

On a short trip to Barcelona, wasn't really sure about the Spanish restaurant opening hours, anyway we went into Armonia. Even though they weren't serving the full menu at that time, they had a Tortilla wrap and Gyros pita.

The Gyros pita was very tasty, the only disappointment is that it finished too quickly... however the place is very pleasant, the staff are friendly (a break from the frenetic rip-off places around Las Ramblas), prices moderate and the location is pretty good not far from the Passeig de Gracia area.

I would definitely come back here on a return trip to try more of their menu.

Pros: Food quality/taste, Nice staff and interior design, Good location

Cons: Menu options limited by time of day

Loved the visit to Armonia

They were closed when i arrived to the restaurant, but they opened the door still.
The owner and chef was super friendly and made appatizer Beetroot gapazcho and the dinner of the day.
The food was really good and the price was inexpensive, paid 13.80 for both dishes.
I look forward to visit Armonia next time I visit Barcelona. I recommend this place if you want good food and great service :)

price/quality not worth it at all...

The food was "ok" and the desserts were bad.

The soy yogurt cream was amazing but it is really small for the price you pay...

The ice cream we ate was terrible and the "tiramisu" wasn't a tiramisu, it was an agar-agar based cake.

They have a beer with honey, so maybe it's better you ask about the ingredients of the dishes because maybe they can add honey because it seems that they think vegans eat also honey.

There is better vegetarian/vegan places to it in Barcelona. They should consider change the prices, the portions and the quality of the dishes.

Pros: cozy, beautiful, confortable

Cons: expensive (a lot), regular food, price/quality not worth it

Fantastic food, friendly atmosphere

Rarely are the dishes in vegan restaurants so good in every aspect - perfect size, perfect combination of tastes, spices and textures, and accompanied by friendly and welcoming staff, like in Armonia. I had hojas de parra, a greek influenced dish (chef is Greek), with grape leaves rice rolls, tzatziki and pita bread. It was truly delicious, fresh, balanced and an unexpected treat on a Thursday evening. :) The restaurant itself has a feeling of a home diner room, with a big wooden table in the middle of a semi-open kitchen, which just adds to a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere created by the really friendly and helpful staff. I definitely recommend visiting this lovely place if you are in Barcelona!

Pros: excellent food, friendly staff

Cons: none

Delicious food, friendly staff

I arrived late at night to Armonia and the kitchen had already closed, but upon finding out I was a hungry vegan they kindly opened the kitchen back up and made us some amazing food. They have a great selection of vegan tapas and meals, many of which are a vegan take on traditional Greek dishes (as one of the chefs/owners is Greek). The staff were very friendly and the food was simply amazing! We had little parcels in wine leaves with soya-yogurt based tzatziki and then a pitta filled with the nicest seitan I've ever tried. I'll be back next time I'm in Barcelona for sure :)

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Lovely restaurant
