Great place for breakfast

We always enjoy the vegan options at Argos. The breakfast range is really tasty and has a lot of variety.

Pros: Sweet and savoury dishes, Most menu items have vegan options

Cons: Quite expensive , Very busy and can be loud

Disappointing

I thought I’d give Argo another go after seeing a variety of vegan options. I ordered the vegan croissant and it was bland. The croissant was the last dish (the easiest!) to come out so I was watching everyone else eat. The vegan iced chai latte was okay but there wasn’t much flavour.
I get that the cafe is very popular, but it didn’t work for me. Both times it wasn’t that clean which is a dealbreaker for my (some may say crazy) needs!

Yummy vegan food!

It was nice, the super thick shake was the best! I ordered the made with passion waffles and a vanilla super thick shake. The waffles weren’t the best but my gosh the thick shake was amazing!!! 🤤🤤🤤

Pros: Good service, Nice and quiet

My local

I always come for the smoothie bowls & take away smoothies. The number 5 sandwich is my go to sit down meal. The menu keeps up with modern options for plant based options. Everything is clearly labelled & never short on flavour. Well worth the wait.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great flavours, Supporting small business

Cons: Noisy

Great breakfast and lunch spot with so many vegan options!

Clearly marked menu with many vegan and vegan optional menu items!

I ordered the vegan breakfast wrap, and it was great!
Coffee is awesome as well for those who love their caffeine, with all the main milk alternatives available.

Will definitely come back here!

The rescue parrots out the back in the courtyard are an added bonus for animal lovers.

Pros: So many options, Good coffee , Yummy food

Cons: They don’t take reservations (walk in only), Can be a bit pricey

Pretty good all-rounder

We didn't have to wait exactly because when you check in with QR code they text you when your table's available. So meanwhile you can browse the many nearby shops. They said the food would be 40 minutes wait but it wasn't nearly that long. I had dumplings, a wrap, fresh juice and we shared sweet potato wedges. Big portion sizes meant we took half home and it later made dinner. Friendly, good service. Noisy, busy, crowded atmosphere thinned out by the end of our lunch.

Pros: Lots of healthy, tasty vegan choices, Friendly service

Food good, atmosphere could be better

On arriving at Argo on the Parade we found menus and when we were looking at them we were asked if we were eating in and then told to go wait outside. Apparently there is a line to be seated, located outside the shop; the sign explaining this was not visible due to the amount of people in it! We did not have to wait long as we were a small party and willing to sit outside, but I saw a party of four waiting for upwards 15 minutes.
Once we were seated we had to order at the counter. It was only then that I found a metres-long display cabinet of cakes and sandwiches! I would have liked to have known to include those when considering what to have, but the line and sitting outside meant this was not easy or intuitive. The menu is also 14 pages long, and in small writing, which makes it really hard to navigate. Thankfully it is also available online so you can choose in advance. This helped when ordering as I had written out what I wanted before I went to the counter and the staff person was happy to type in from my written order, so avoiding the issue of making oneself understood in a loud restaurant. There were no issues ordering vegan items with vegetarian items; they were kept separate, but a clarification I did not expect was whether I wanted mine both vegan and gluten free, when on the menu I read it as gluten free and vegan. I was also not charged the extra for the vegan version but still received it. I recommend anyone who needs both double-check when ordering a GFO or VGO item to be sure whether it is one or both of these.
The flexitarian had tempura mushroom on rice and I had a made with passion waffle. Both meals were excellent and we were allowed to share a drink, which defrayed the cost a little. The tempura mushroom and accompaniments, I am told, were a perfect blend of flavours. I found some of the fruits were a bit too bitter for my taste but I was able to eat most of my waffle and sharing the meals was not an issue.
Sitting outside was a bit awkward as there were not enough seats and we were given a stool, but then other staff members offered to bring us seats from another table! It was still hard to hear even outside as the seating area is quite crowded, and as it is by the street, there is also traffic noise.
However, even with a 15 minute wait for food, we were out in an hour. As a regular at the city location, I suspect this was simply luck, as I usually resort to takeaway and still wait 40 minutes!
This was a wonderful treat for my family

Pros: High quality food, Lots of options, Cakes and coffee as well

Cons: Crowded and loud

Extensive Vegan Menu

Great place to keep everyone happy no matter what the dietary requirements are. Good for lunch, decent portions and good quality/value. Parade outlet is far superior to the city option.

Pros: Large vegan selection , Good desserts , Great atmosphere and good staff

Yummy vegan desserts

I had a “snickers” bar thingy which was super yummy but very very rich! There were heaps of vegan options. And a park across the road you can go sit in :)

Busy but good

Brunch hot spot so generally busy but a great variety of vegan options. Can’t complain really - waffles, smoothies, bowls, big breakfast. Kinda worth the 10-15 min wait to get a table.

Caged animals, bacon and sloppy tofu

I wanted to like this place but...

Queued up outside despite the rain. Nice interior and good options on the menu, including a seperate vegan list.

I ordered the vegan brekky, it came with sloppy tofu scrambled and uncooked slice of sourdough with oily mushrooms and tomatoes and spinach. About 3/4 way through I noticed a bit of bacon on my plate hidden under the spinach!

The staff were lovely and I got a refund but obviously not ideal.

The irony of the caged tropical birds outside with "lucky" pained on the outside also made me feel uncomfortable.

You are either an ethical company or not. Stop selling plastic straws, sloppy food and set those poor birds free.

Cons: Sloppy food , Meat on my vegan plate , Caged birds outside

Really tasty, reasonable prices, nice atmos

We've eaten here a few times, always pleased with the food - lots of vegan options, the menu is huge with a page each of just smoothies and juices. Massively recommend hipster nachos Mr & Mrs Swiss toasted panini(?) & salted caramel waffles - all super tasty, on the healthy side and reasonably priced. Burgers are good too. Love all the plants at the outdoor seating area. Usually very crowded at peak times, so avoid weekends and 12:30-1:30 weekdays if you don't want to line up!

Pros: lots of vegan options, very tasty, food comes out quick

Cons: long line up to be seated at peak times

Round 2 Decider?

Went on a Saturday for brunch, had to line up outside, thankfully it wasn't too cold. A bit squishy inside but service was good and we didn't have to wait long for food and drinks. Good juices but I ordered the Avocado Smash and it was disappointing. I've had many others that were better. 2 thin slices of toasted rye, not enough smashed avo, it was plain with a little bit of basil and a drizzle of oil. Will have to go for a second round and check out the Tofu Scramble. All items we had were vegan. They should totes offer the Sweet Potato Chips as vegan (if they are, their not noted on the menu as vegan).

Pros: Good Service, Great Juice menu, Lots of vegan options

Cons: The long wait, Avo Scramble was lame
