Veggies: don’t miss! - Edit
Don’t visit Galway without eating here. Food is tasty, well prepared. They have vegetarian but few vegan dishes. Staff a very welcoming (they gave us the option to wait a few mins for one of the best tables in the place—with a lovely view over the docks).

Excellent food but limited options for vegans - Edit
Staff very friendly and welcoming. No vegan option on the menu, asked the staff, there was options offered. When food arrived the bread offered was not vegan and had to ask for another bread. Staff were helpful. Food was excellent but limited options for vegans.

Best Special Occasion Dinner in Galway - Edit
The atmosphere, the location and the service are tough to beat in all of Galway. And the food…well it was absolutely spectacular. Had the ard bia mezze appetizer, the chickpea and lentil cake (with toasted seeds, asparagus, and rainbow chard) for a main course, and sautéed greens as a side. Epic!!! They squeezed us in on our special occasion, even though we didn’t have a reservation, and it was a night we’ll never forget! Absolutely, deliciously perfect! Sun was setting out the window over Galway Bay. Lit candles surrounding us, and a wait-staff that took care of every last detail. Take your plant-based special someone there for an amazing meal you won’t soon forget.

Ard bia is one of the best brunch/lunch spots in the city and they always have a vegan option, even if it’s not listed on the menu the staff are so helpful to cater for vegans. Menu is always changing so you get something different every time!

Helpful and accommodating staff - Edit
I really enjoyed my time at Nimmos. The staff and kitchen were happy to provide me with completely vegan options “off the menu” or modify menu items. They were knowledgeable of vegan cuisine and cooked a delicious meal. Highly recommend. Only not five stars because I think it would be great to have more permanent vegan items on the menu😄
