Bone char sugar=not fully vegan
Owner uses regular sugar. She told me she's not going to spend $5 more per lb for organic sugar and that the animals are already dead so it doesn't matter and that know one would know the difference. Why can't I give it 0 stars?

The good news is that this review is not relevant because since the conversation we had with you about this (which was months ago yet you're posting this in July), we’ve found that beet sugar is not processed with bone char and is very affordable. We had switched to beet sugar even before we found that out! So yes, we ARE fully vegan and have been since early June.
The bad news is that it was so disappointing and upsetting to discover that someone who supposedly supports the vegan cause would leave such a negative and misleading review about the only all vegan restaurant in Lawrence! Archibowls kitchen has no secrets and we will happily share any information anyone wants about our ingredients, where we get them and how we use them. This has been our policy from day one. When we converted to full vegan we decided to use non-organic sugar in order to keep costs affordable for our customers. At that time most vegans I had spoken with did not have a problem with this and support people just doing their best. We’ve NEVER been dishonest or tried to mislead people , and at the time I spoke with you in April right after reopening I explained that vegans who are going that extra mile RE: concerned about sugar may want to avoid desserts which contain sugar or special order them with organic sugar. It's really not cool for you to mischaracterize me as cavalier and dishonest, especially when going full vegan was a huge risk and leap of faith that was NOT an easy business decision in a midwestern town obsessed with burgers, chicken wings and pizza.

Poor presentation and poor flavor - Edit
Food looks and taste as if my child was experimenting in the kitchen with vegan ideas. The food presentation was horrible. The inside set up was not clean and I had to ask to have my table wipe clean. The nachos and cheese had no flavor and this is the easiest vegan dish to make. Now I will say the beyond burger Colorado was pretty decent and so was the black bean and corn salad. Which is why I gave two stars instead of the one star. But the Denver Burger was not good. The chili’s made the burger taste horrible. Honestly this spot lacks character and flavor. The food is bland, no flavor and unfortunately I was highly disappointed bc the reviews were so good. This spot is not for me and won’t be returning. The nachos and cheese look like they open a bag of chips and open a can of beans and threw it together. I had to come back and update my post bc it’s an hour later and now my stomach hurts and feeling nauseous

Your review is exactly right! That's about the time her freezer wasn't working properly and she was serving Beyond burgers that had been completely thawed out for days. The beans are often weeks old. The chili and the queso sit out for hours uncovered before going into the fridge where they are still not covered properly and used way past their prime.
