I brought my sister and mother here after a long day of shopping. All the food was amazing. I'm the only vegan in the group, but this is now on my sister's short list of must go-to restaurants in Lawrence. We shared the loaded nachos (they were good to the last bite... lots of toppings), and I had the Supreme Cali Tacos (oh, so good for crunchy tacos!). Sis and mom had the medley bowls and they raved about them. We also had dessert ... cheesecake and the silk pie cup - both delicious. If I didn't live in Houston, I'd eat here as much as I could.

Honestly I hope this place collects some feedback from people because this place is just a few improvements away from being really really good. Affordable Vegan Food & Drinks! - Edit
Great food and unlike many other vegan restaurants this one is very affordable. It's a kind of a "hole in the wall" but they make up for it with their affordable prices and loads of food that they give you. It's great that Lawrence has an entirely vegan and vegetarian restaurant as there aren't many of those around this area. They had a ton of options on the menu. $6-10 per entree and it was a ton of food. I'm coming back soon to try the vegan cheesecake and possibly other sweets that were on the menu. I was so full last time that I couldn't have possibly ate cheesecake. Also they have $2 bud lights!! They also have other craft beers but we drank Bud Lights out of glasses it was great.

A lot of people, especially vegans feel like it's not worth it to go out to eat because places are so expensive and it's just not worth it especially when the quality is so low. And frankly we agree that it's not worth it to go to places where most of the menu items are simply taken off of the Sysco truck or are hoity toity. and cost half a paycheck. It's a big deal to be a good value to people and an enjoyable experience to go out to eat, so thank you for your review and some verification that we are accomplishing that goal.

Update: Had the California tofu tacos. The flavor was great; fairly spicy. The tortillas basically disintegrated in my hand. Had to eat them with a fork, basically.

I had the vegan tamale pie royale with green chili and it was fantastic! It so hard for me to find vegan, gluten-free food with no beans. I was ecstatic to find a place that meets all my dietary restrictions. I will definitely return when I visit Lawrence again!

This is a unique place. Their staple is savory pies — what they call “Tamale Pies”. I had a vegan pie stuffed with white vegan chili and topped with an avocado sauce. It was very good — crust was buttery and delicious.

They also have a bunch of vegan desserts — cookies, little brownie spoon cups, etc. I had a really good St. Patty’s Day sugar cookie.

Almost everything on the menu can be made vegan and they even have vegan desserts. The people were sooo friendly. Makes me wish I lived in Lawrence so I could eat here all the time. Try the vegan tamale pie royale - it’s amazing!!
