Great fast food option for pizza - Edit
The classic cheese pizza is excellent. I do like the variety of toppings and the oven taste . I really liked the wheat bread option they got rid of. I wish they had a gluten free option. Sodas are all natural , I love the cream soda.

Favorite local vegan pizza, but… - Edit
This is my favorite place to get my vegan pizza fix. Their dough and tomato sauce is vegan, plus they have vegan daiya cheese and sausage. It always makes for a satisfying meal.

I asked for the vegan cheese on my pizza, and she tried to warn me that vegan cheese “is made of chemicals”, as are a lot of vegan foods apparently according to her. 🙄 I wonder if she gives customers a similar warning about dairy cheese containing estrogen, cholesterol and pus? I bet not. I politely told her I was okay with my vegan cheese, thanks, and moved on. &pizza, please train your staff so they know what your vegan products are actually made of.

Easy Option - Edit
I was craving pizza while on a trip in Maryland and again in DC. My husband suggested this place. I asked staff to change gloves because I have a dairy allergy. No one bat a lash. They just followed directions! My little vegan kiddo loved this pizza too. They also had a fun line of drinks is never seen or tried before. This place made creating my own vegan pizza a breeze.

I love the food at &pizza, especially their gluten free crust, which comes out crispy but not hard. They have a ton of vegetables and even have vegan cheese and chorizo without costing extra.
Read moreUnfortunately, I have to give it one star because of repeated bad experiences with the restaurant. Since COVID started, I have ordered exclusively on the app, then picked up in store. Every time, the app would tell us the pizza is done, and when we showed up, were told it is not done. Sometimes it’s not even started, other times they’d leave the finished pizza in the warmer but make us wait. One time we were told the pizza is not ready, waited 20 minutes, only for them to then pull the finished pizza out of the warmer 20 minutes later. By then the crust was already soggy. Almost every time, some of the ingredients I ordered are not on the pizza, and at least a few times, my pizza showed up mostly bare, not showing any green colors, because it is missing most of the vegetables I ordered. The straw that broke the camel’s back was when they placed my partner’s pizza, which contains meat, next to mine, and then liberally sprinkled Parmesan cheese on his pizza while getting some on my pizza as well. This is all very disappointing as the food is great but staff seems to be very badly trained.

&pizza is my favorite local pizza place! Vegan options are clear and easy to order. The employees seem very educated about dietary restrictions/ allergens and will change their gloves to serve vegan cheese. The actual eating area is super small and can be chaotic, but the taste of the pizza makes up for it. I really recommend the fig balsamic sauce on top at the end!

I love that I can get spicy or regular sauce. If you like cheese, they have a vegan option. Best pizza ever: spicy sauce, no cheese, double chickpeas, onion, red peppers, and tomatoes. They also have color coded pizza cutters so workers know which one to use for different pizzas.
